You’ll find the Sport S to be more than capable. Mine is a 2022 ordered with 4.10 gears. I simply went with the Mopar 2” lift with Daystar 3/4” coil spring spacers. Then added Fuel wheels with Milestar 37” tires. The ride is great on and off the trail.

None of your business.
Gotta be a troll post or he's never run a tough trail?
A troll post would be recommending someone with a perfectly good 99% rationale-trail capable JT molest and destroy their vehicle to look like something you pine after from insta-fame, myface, tictac, or some other fake life social media spot.

"If you don't have 44's and e-lockers, you cant even get through the mall parking lot." "you gotta 488't man". "I destroyed the driving dynamics, fuel economy, and terminal reliability of this JT by making it look like a toddlers tonka truck, but I'll be going to MOAB to glamp and pose this summer, so that makes it a good decision." Gonna get some rad B-roll all flexed out for my screensaver."

If you want to modify your stuff go ahead, for now we still live in a free country. It's laughable and disingenuous to infer the JT is not capable in factory sport trim, even with an open diff. Recommending someone sacrifice 99.5% of their driving experience to live someone else's make believe off-road life is the true troll move.

This part of your previous post is so wrong it could be mistaken for trolling:
.....The lockers are trash for all but 1% of actual severe rock climbing activities....
People with more experience wheeling know that lockers also shine in mud, sand, and snow. The guys with lockers are the ones recovering the guys with open diffs.

Lets not feed the troll folks LOL, the guy is clearly quite grumpy and either inexperienced or delusional. Of course, it is a free country and everyone is welcome to do to their vehicles what they wish.

Stock Jeeps are quite capable, don't kid yourself OP that you need to go mod crazy right out the gate. 37s, 40s, etc are insanely overkill for 99% of Jeep owners that will never see a trail that warrants a need for tires that large, but they sure do look good on a JT.

I have a Sport S. The LSD and brake lok system has been more than sufficient. Lest this devolve to a pissing match, I'll only say I would be surprised if many people on this site wheeled on the rocks more than I have. I've done nearly every trail in SoCal, except for a few of the more extreme hammers trails. I stopped after clawhammer and Big johnson proved to be causing more damage than I'd prefer.

37s are the ticket to good rock crawling. I have a 3" lift, but I'm only lifted to clear the tire. I regeared my Jeep to 4.88s, but it was fine with 4.10s. While I'd prefer having lockers to avoid wheelspin, the wheelspin I see is usually a super-low speed scratching away for traction.

I've had a 2 door JK, 4 door JK rubicon, and now this. The JT is better in some instances, worse in others. One trail will have a variety of obstacles that will be benefitted by a long wheel base, and sometimes not. I've yet to use my winch to get me through an obstacle, but I have had to use a winch when I slipped off a line and gotten stuck/turtled.

I can't speak for other parts of the country with different styles of trails, but for high traction rock gardens in so cal, I've had no problems.

Many squishy mealy mouthed social media type responses so far.

First legitimate question would be:

Do you have an LSD? For 99% of off-roading and 100% of on-roading, LSD is superior to a user applied locker. Even with an open diff though, you would be able to traverse 95% of all off-road obstacles. The Jeep brake-actuated LSD is slow and clunky, but fine for all but the most extreme situations. The lockers are trash for all but 1% of actual severe rock climbing activities.

The locker folks suffer through having trash driving dynamics the majority of time to brag that they used their lockers once to get through a pothole right after a Camry got stuck.

Your instincts to stick with 33’s speaks to your maturity. Bigger tires are a fools errand and the playground of prepubescent man-babies.

Many will be butt-hurt about the truth being told. These people should pay the bills and stop relying on their wives to be the major breadwinners.

Have fun. Get out and learn how to drive what you have, and you’ll figure out incrementally what upgrades to make for your style of driving. It may be that the trim you have is perfect. That pothole be damned.
normally i like jeep guys. there's always a few in every group that sucks the wind out of the room.
