Has anyone done a firmware update yet? I have been using mine with the firmware out of the box and I was just wondering if it is worth messing around updating it.

I would respectfully suggest let sleeping dogs lie. I just finished my install and have been on the phone with tech support for almost 2 hours (display blank, light show on the RP module).

When I installed mine the last week of October (ordered around the day the kit released), I confirmed with stinger there weren’t any updates available. Haven’t looked since, but I doubt they’d have one out this quick. Mine hasn’t had any major issues.

Not being one to follow my own sage advice (and being on a first name basis with tech support 😁), I performed the update today without incident. No noticeable changes so far.

And, a big thank you to Mike at Stinger for hooking me up with the Vets discount 👍

Is the screen still water resistant? Should we get caught with the roof off?

Hey Memphis,

The HEIGH10 does retain the Gladiator front cam and wash feature. Adding a different front camera would not be HD since the other camera ports are for standard RCA connections. The factory cameras module plugs straight into this kit module. There is not a recording feature on the unit itself either.

Adding additional AUX switches will be capable with the SwitchHub being released by Stinger soon. Although this will be a separate add-on.
For more information about the SwitchHub, I added this link:
https://stingerelectronics.com/products/spxsh440
This switch hub is it controlled by the Hiegh10 Or completely stand alone option
