After sifting through hundreds of posts on the forum, many tire websites, and countless google searches, I have compiled a list of all the major all-terrain tires that will fit on the stock 17”x7.5” (Sport, Rubicon, Mojave) wheels and should fit every trim level (with little to no modifaction). I thought I would share it here. I know that the ever popular 35x12.50R17 (315/70R17) does fit on a stock wheel and there will probably be no issues. This list includes the maximum tire size offered that fits a 7.5 wheel per manufacturer specifications in the following format:

Tire Name
Size and Load (Actual Size) [Weight] Price

Please use this thread to share your experiences with or ask questions about these tires. Let me know if I missed any good options. To qualify for this list, the tire must fit a 17x7.5 wheel (manufacturer spec), be 33”-35”, and be an AT or RT tire.

Note: Actual tire sizes are almost always less than the listed size and vary based on PSI. Prices change so frequently and this list includes the best price found at the time of posting.

BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2
285/75R17 E (33.9x11.3) [61] $241.79

I have a Sport S Max Tow ordered and I plan to choose one of these. I am leaning towards the Toyo AT3, as I like the redesign from the AT2 and it comes in the biggest size of 35x11.50, unless someone can sway me to another option. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the Toyo A/T III in 285/75/17s they have been great so far, I had the A/T II in the same size on my last Jeep. The A/T III seem to grip better in the wet.

What suspension upgrades from stock do you have?

I ran them on my sport S max tow with stock suspension for a while, I had no issues or running anywhere. I raised my JT pretty much just for cosmetic reasons, the setup in that picture is 340 and 343 front coils with Daystar 1.5” front spacers Daystar .75” rear spacers I also have Fox shocks but that didn’t change the height at all. The coils and spacer raised the front 2.5”. I have Mopar LCA also which add back some caster. It rides and handles pretty well with the current setup.
This picture is on stock suspension.

Are you happy with the ride so far?
You have other 285/75/17 listed though..

Happy so far but literally got them installed a couple days ago so not much time in the vehicle. It’s sitting on jackstands at the moment while I wait on a breaker bar from Amazon to loosen the control arms and install 1.5” level kit.. woops!

That’s the same plan I have, looks perfect. Just curious, do you have an exact height measurement of the 285/75 mounted?

Haha! I am also looking forward to the very tight bolts from the factory I keep hearing about. And yes I have 285/75s listed for other tires, as those are the biggest those brands make that fit on the 7.5 wheel, but Toyo makes the slightly larger 35x11.50. In any case, the 285/75s are a great size on a sport!

I am running a 315/70/17 KO2 on the stock 17x7.5 Sport S wheels. No issue here that I am aware of.

Mac- Have you had the Toyo AT III in the snow? I like that those are only Load C but concerned 11.2" is too wide for traveling on snowy roads. 255/80/17 (33x10.5) would be perfect for me but I dont want a stiff ride with only Load E available.
