The 285/75/17s measure 33.5” at 36psi.
They seem good in the snow, no issues with 285s in the snow, I ran 285s and 315s on my JKU, I found the 285s much better in the rain and snow, didn’t float as much and didn’t track ruts on the highway like 315s did.
The AT IIIs are 3pmsf rated which definitely makes a difference in the snow.

I was too. Unfortunately the price has not moved from $201.10 in a couple months. I think they finally caught on that people are buying these. At over $200, I won’t take the risk on them that people have with balancing and longevity. Every review from people that have ran those tires a long time say that they are great new but like 1 in 8 tires are problematic and their customer service and no warranty sucks too. For $600 for 4 35”s I would have tried them, at $800+, no thanks. For around $1000 I could get 4 from a more reputable brand with a 50k+ mile warranty.

Mac- Have you had the Toyo AT III in the snow? I like that those are only Load C but concerned 11.2" is too wide for traveling on snowy roads. 255/80/17 (33x10.5) would be perfect for me but I dont want a stiff ride with only Load E available.
We haven't had a ton of snow, but had a few bouts of 2-3" so far. I'm pretty impressed by the ATiii's so far. The 11.5" wide ATiis are nearly the same width as the 285/70/17 Falkens that came stock. I haven't had any issues "cutting" through the snow.

I am also running the TOYO AT III 35x11.5R17 for winter, I have them mounted on my OEM wheels. So far with what little snow we have had since I put them on they have been very good.

Do you have a measurement on these mounted? I am looking to buy soon and the 35x11.50s are out of stock everywhere. If they don’t measure too much more than the 285/75, I might have to go that route as someone said the measure 33.5”. Thanks!

Mounted under weight of the Gladiator I also get 33.5". I bought mine through CAR-ID they had them in stock and shipped right away, but that was in January I believe.

For a Stock Sport S, Max Tow and no intent/desire to lift/level. I have a set of Stock Mojave wheels, what do you think is the biggest tire I can put on them? 32”? Could I do a 33”?

After sifting through hundreds of posts on the forum, many tire websites, and countless google searches, I have compiled a list of all the major all-terrain tires that will fit on the stock 17”x7.5” (Sport, Rubicon, Mojave) wheels and should fit every trim level (with little to no modifaction). I thought I would share it here. I know that the ever popular 35x12.50R17 (315/70R17) does fit on a stock wheel and there will probably be no issues. This list includes the maximum tire size offered that fits a 7.5 wheel per manufacturer specifications in the following format:

Tire Name
Size and Load (Actual Size) [Weight] Price

Please use this thread to share your experiences with or ask questions about these tires. Let me know if I missed any good options. To qualify for this list, the tire must fit a 17x7.5 wheel (manufacturer spec), be 33”-35”, and be an AT or RT tire.

Note: Actual tire sizes are almost always less than the listed size and vary based on PSI. Prices change so frequently and this list includes the best price found at the time of posting.

285/70R17 doesn't have any issues at all and looks pretty good. You could go a little bigger pretty comfortably if you stay skinny.

I am running a 315/70/17 KO2 on the stock 17x7.5 Sport S wheels. No issue here that I am aware of.
Did you have any issues with this setup? I've got a Sport S MT and I'm planning on getting 315/70r17 for it. Looking forward to your feedback
