The Arcus is stamped steel. You can drill holes elsewhere for your lights. Just a thought.

That’s pretty much where I’m at with this.

You can get the LoD without the bull bar. Should fit your needs.

I didn't like the RR Arcus hooks either so I swapped them for shackle mounts. The ones I chose don't stick out far enough to use a standard d dring but a soft shackle works just fine.

I'm still fixated on this solution.... Why can't the shackles be installed outside of the bumper cover, as opposed to inside?

The gravestone is exactly what I’m looking for so long as I can Jerry rig the rubicon skid plate to work. Price is a bit steep.
I was worried about clearance to the Mojave skid plate but it was a perfect fit, no grinding or modification needed, not sure about the Rubi one.
They had a 10% sale a few weeks ago when I got mine. I said most, not all of your criteria:) Little pricey but very solid and well built.

I went with the RR Venator stubby since it’s similar to the factory steel bumper.

That looks perfect! Did you have to do anything crazy to get the Rubi skid to work? I see on LoD's site they sell "frame tie in brackets" but not listed at the link in this thread, are they needed?

I believe there is a ridge of sorts on the outer shell where these would mount that makes that not possible. plus it would push the shell back 1/4" towards the body and I don't know that is feasible either. I'm just speculating based on pictures and lots of bumper oogling these days.

Sounds like you are describing the OEM steel bumper (sans wings) to me...
I would agree (and i certainly thought long and hard about it when ordering my JTR) but the cost was stupid to me. by the time I get my winch installed, i'd be in over a grand on the OEM bumper and if I'm spending that much, may as well get one exactly how I'd like.
