I like them they sound good, pretty clear highs and with them in the sealed pods have a nice solid bass response. Went with Kappa because I couldn’t find 6.5 Reference in stock at that time.
I just got some Metra pods for the knee pods and someone from the Gladiator FB group to help install. So rather than going with the JBLs again, these Infiniti 6.5s are sounding great in reviews. About to pull the trigger on the kappa or reference and got an 8" sub going in same time.

So I have installed the Alpine i509-wrajl and all new alpine speakers throughout and the kicker hs10 still not happy with it, they factory upgraded audio in my JT rubicon sounds better than this “upgraded system in my mojave. any suggestions?

Are you using an amp on the Alpine speakers?

@calipoontappa Just curious. Did you try any other mounting locations like under a seat or stood up against the bin under the rear seat facing the front of the truck?

I use my bin storage so that’s not an option. I’d be willing to give up the space you did as a last resort.

Thanks in advance!

I currently am not, the kids and highs are pretty decent with the new head unit, but the sub i don’t find as good as ppl make it out to be, or maybe my settings suck lol

No, once I put it in the bin and it fit like a glove I didn’t think about any other place.

An amp would really wake those speakers up.

Gain, bass boost, and crossover frequency settings are on the Kicker sub. I don’t have one, I just looked it up. I’d set gain about 2/3. Crossover about 80. Bass boost at half. Dial it in with your favorite style of music at 90% volume with the neighbors gone.

I installed my HS10 lastnight. As mentioned above, it is the easiest install ever. Yes!!! It sounds amazing.

Yeah both going at the same time.
I had the Premo Alpine setup in mine as well, still have the head unit but I replaced all the cheap speakers and added the HS10.

Just pop the pass cubby out, there are 2 little covers covering the screw locations (hard to miss) unscrew and just pull hard on the cubby, it will pop out with some force. It’s just held down with clips. Once that’s off you will see the Alpine sub and the only wiring harness that goes into it. You’re going to want to tap into the orange(+) and the orange/black(-). Run your power, set your ground and you’re all set.
Sorry for drumming up an old thread but this is one of the better explanations out there and just have a clarifying questions. Knowing little about audio, where did you connect the orange (+) and orange/black (-) on the sub? There are left and right components, did you just pick one or the other or splice it into both? Or am I completely off bass here? Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly orange is positive and orange/black was neg. It’s bass so it doesn’t matter that it has a left/right just splice both positive to orange and both neg to orange/black.

Has anyone tried this sub by tapping into the passenger side b pillar speaker wires? I dont have the premium alpine with amp to tap into and want to add some bass but am reluctant to try it this way.

How do you like the Alpine head unit? Do you think it's worth the cost? I personally don't like the looks/feel of the stinger.
