Hi Folks,

Right after getting my Gladiator I noticed the sun visors pop out of their mount.

From what I can tell others have this issue so I'm sharing the fix I bought because it was a 10 min fix to resolve the issue permanently for both sides of my Jeep.

A simple metal piece that bolts right on.

Feels nice not to have to deal with that stupidity any more.

Yep, I actually bought them for my new Gladiator and Wife's Wrangler knowing they would probably break. Wrangler already broke one so I just put both on.

Yes, just like those. Believe it or not I searched but apparently my search terms weren't what they needed to be.

I used "sun visor fix Gladiator"
I used "eye guard swingy thing broke" but didn't find anything.

Seriously though, when looking for other Gladiator items on Amazon, those pop up constantly so I figured they're a common problem and have some sitting in my save-for-later cart.

It’s probably the most inexpensive item you can buy for your Jeep. Don’t wait til it breaks!

My drivers side broke and was replaced under warranty about a year ago. A few weeks ago the passenger side broke. I knew about these aluminum brackets so I ordered a pair and put them on both sides.
It's a matter of When, not If, the visors will break and fall out of the factory mounts.
Here's a link for my fellow Canadian 'Amazoners'. These fit perfect in my JT.

Five years, and over 100,000 miles and the passenger side hasn't fallen. The driver's side was replaced early on under warranty, and still going strong. As @ShadowsPapa discussed in another thread, the visors last longer if they aren't swinging at the end of their extensions.

For me it's more likely due to how frequently they are pivoted. I never use the extension feature. I pivot them many times per day, to release/lock the Sunrider.

Had to do mine a couple of years ago. Got (probably) the same repair kit on Amazon and 15 minutes after receiving said kit, voila, problem solved. Still have the other piece for if (and hopefully NOT when) the passenger sides goes too.

No stress on them at all that way - the weight is still supported, no vibrations, no shocks from the weight hanging out and off to the side supported by only the pivot area when you hit a bump.
They should last forever if you never unclip the inner end and swing them to the side.
But watch them bounce like crazy when swung to the side and pulled out on the rod.
Pure physics at work.

I just flip the visor down to lock the Mopar soft top
