I have a Rub diesel with 11k miles. I would definitely recommend it. TQ on acceleration will bring a grin to the driver.

I love the color matched top and topper on the Gladiator. Never can afford or want to pay extra for color match ha ha. Running 35s or 37s?

Very happy. Very strong, a breeze in towing, excellent mileage 26 mpg if I donā€˜t exceed 75 mph on the german Autobahn without trailer.

I have both a diesel (2021) and Pentastar (2020) The diesel has triple the power down low where I normally drive. I’m all in diesel from here forward. Absolutely love it.

Diesel is the way to go with the Jeep, if ya want a gas burner, why are ya looking at a Jeep? I'd be looking at a Chevy Trail Boss, Raptor, something that will get up and go. If ya going to be towing heavy, go full size. If ya in for light to medium loads and fun, jeep with diesel is an excellent choice.

I've a Sport S diesel and with the 245 tires I was getting up the 31 mpg as long as I was 55 mph and less. Highway at 70, about 27 mpg. Running 285's now, killed mileage by 4 mpg and did hurt the power a bit too.

As stated in earlier posts, maintenance and upkeep is more and the 3rd generation EEK-O-Diesel is still on the proving grounds, gotta buy 2.5 gallons DEF about every 6 miles, the oil filter is outrageous in price, special grade oil and about 9 quarts.

And I'd do it all over again.
Happy to hear somebody else is getting the same Mileage as I have. My since-new average is closer to 26 but sustaining 30mpg over the course of a tank is not absurd with these, given the right conditions.

Yeah, even at sea level coasting 31 would be a stretch. That's 4 Mpgs higher than the manufacturer specs which are 21/27. Just saying something doesn't seem right about that.
i drove from colorado to california and back. avg was a hiar over 30. with a Sport S and stock tires.

I am at 8k miles so far on my diesel rubi and almost all of it has been on 37" patagonias. My average mpg is currently 19.8mpg. That's with a lot of trails and city driving. Longer freeway trips can easily get over 25mpg if I stay around about 70 which seems like were the wind resistance starts showing up. At the end of the day the mileage is just a small perk as I purchased the diesel for the added power, its a cheap price to pay for a significant amount of usable power.

....and for all that you get ZERO road improvements, but instead a train to Fresno!
Oh but living here theres so many benefits that outweigh the roads... Like.... I get demonized for working in law enforcement, threatened with my job for not taking part in an experiment, to pay some of the nations highest prices on real estate, sub par education system.................. Soooo many amazing things.

Ya I can’t stand California. Left almost 7 years ago and has been the best decision I’ve ever made.

Ya'll change trucks and vehicles faster than folks change their underwear
Sounds like my best friend. In the past 30 years he's had probably 40-50 different trucks, boats, trailers and the such. Me I've had one car and my Jeep Gladiator. That's it.
