Per this window sticker - what is the towing capacity?

In the market for a Gladiator - just sold my JLUR. I am considering a stripped down sport even a sport S, but would like at least the 6000# tow capacity (only a few max tow's left in my area). From my research and charts others have posted here it is my understanding that sport and sport s models with the "trailer tow package" have the 6000# capacity.

In speaking to several dealers in the Chicago area, they are telling me that most of their sports and sports s' only tow 4500#.

Question: Per the window sticker below, does this specific Jeep have a 4500# or 6000# capacity?

I would say 4500 #'s or less. You need for the window sticker to say "Max Tow Package", to get the 6000+ rating.

That's actually incorrect. Its an automatic Sport with tow package, so 6k lb tow capacity. Max tow would be 7850 iirc. Overlands with tow pkg and 8 speed are 6k lbs and Rubicon in the same configuration is 7k lbs. IIRC, the Mohave is 6k lbs.

Thanks, this is what I thought (and was hoping) but two separate dealers have told me #4500 on similar Jeeps. I am banging my head against the wall trying to figure out who is right.

Yep, I'll back that last post up with some pics from the owner's manual. I have a very similar window sticker on mine, and it's pretty much everything I need, nothing I don't. That "popular equipment package" does provide some savings, so unless you really want the wider axels to try to turn your sport s into a Rubicon, then I'd pull the trigger. Should be able to get it for under $40k and ask them to throw in a bedliner!
