Max towing capacity?

Been reading about the other midsize trucks. I read in 3 different articles that the canyon and colorado have 7700 max tow.

How can Jeep claim best in class towing at 7650, it is because the colorado/canyon need the diesel to go from 7500 to 7700?

They can claim it because it has the highest for a 4x4, so best in class for midsize 4x4 truck.

In my case Payload is always the problem, not max towing capacity.

Same here. Payload is something a lot of people forget about. My F250 gas had a lot more payload capacity than my friend's F250 diesel because he added a bunch of option like panoramic roof, electric side steps, etc.

Haha what an old thread revival.

I’ve towed and hauled a lot with my Gladiator and my dad’s old 2018 Colorado. The Colorado is a great truck and is considerably faster accelerating and handing but the Gladiator tows, hauls, and rides better. I’m not sure about the new Colorado. It might be better at towing/hauling. I haven’t even driven one.
