I'm going to test mine on my JL and remove it without unmarrying. That should leave the gears and tire size correction in place.
How the dealer sees/perceives and reacts to it will vary by dealer. I took mine out once and forgot to unmarry it and took it to the dealer. They did whatever it was I had them do and never said a word about it. But they also know I modify and mess with my Jeeps and I've sold a number of Jeeps for them, so they may be giving me a pass.
