I’ll add coming from an suv to a gladiator your theory of borrowing a trailer or even owning your own will most likely get old very quick. The driving factor for me realizing I needed a truck was we were out one day saw something we wanted and had to drive across town to go home get the trailer hook it up go back to the store pick up our stuff and drive back home. Had we had the gladiator right then could have made one trip. It seems petty I know. But that situation eventually repeated itself twice more and I was finally
Over it. Ymmv

My wife wants one and only because she likes the looks of it and certain color options. She could care less about anything else so long as it drove her the 9 miles each way to work and back.

I would normally just get her what she wants but I have been lucky in keeping that at bay with the dealer ADM, short supply and just how much more expensive it is for what options she would want.

I would like to publicly thank Ford Motor Company for dropping the ball, or delaying the ball, or not being able to make a round ball for such a long time. As a long time Jeep guy, I got caught up in the nostalgia and ordered a Wildtrax day two. Every day I walked outside, my LJ just looked at me like I was Benedict Arnold.

And then the wait begun! The the problems started to arise. And the wait continued. And then it happened. The clouds opened up and a diesel gladiator was announced.

“Hello Ford, may I get my deposit back”. I have never loved a vehicle so much even though I typically only drive her once a week. Every Friday she gets a bath and then we head to the beach.

So again, thank you Ford Motor Company.

I think Ford dropped the ball. The whole point was to make a small 4x4 like the wrangler. The B is much bigger, which means the next generation will get even bigger. They look cool but good luck finding a manual. They should of called the bronco sport the mare.

Bronco is an SUV. Gladiator is a truck. Not sure how the two are cross shopped.

I would go out on a limb and suggest that the similarity between the wrangler and gladiator blur the lines of discussion of competitor vehicles.

Same. I have video of a Bronco on mini moab. Did decent. Got high centered in the same spot @Waggs did in his stock rubicon JTRD. Waggs had a winch. Winched off. Bronco did not.

They have been for a long time. You really haven’t seen one? Colorado must order more of everything because I see Jeeps, gladiators and Broncos everywhere all the time.

Who said the point was to make a small 4x4 like the Wrangler?

I doubt many Bronco owners are complaining it's too big.

That would be Ford. The advertising directly compared it to the Wrangler. They stopped selling the F150 based Broncs from the 70-80’s for 25 years because they were too large.

If their point was to make it small, don't you think they would have?

Ford Designed it how they wanted it. It didn't accidentally turn out bigger than planned.
