With air bags in them the EVO' 4.5" rear diesel springs I have are workable with a heavy load, but you really need to push the airbags to the limit. Hence I am looking for a spring with a higher rate so I can bring the pressure down in them. I've dropped the rear end to test and they won't come near unseated before the trackbar is binding and the shocks are at full extension.

Does your load vary a lot, airbags could help in that instance and allow you to fine tune your spring rate, as you add more air they pressout on the spring and increase the spring rate.

Check out the Rockkrawler rear lower spring correction wedges. Not on their website but they have them last I talked to them. They add quite a bit of height as they are thick, have a large center bump to retain the coil and get the springs nice and straight which I would think helps with maintaining the spring rate. Helps when you rotate the pinion back to get a good angle for the drive shaft.

Exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks very much.

Ah. I have Fox IFP hydraulic stops in the front. JKS and I broke up after they refused to warranty their garbage control arms. $1,000 of parts laying in a box in my garage.
This is the only parts I have from them. No issues so far. I think the hydraulic bump stops should be standard equipment. They made a big difference.

Jks and fox look to be the same company, or at least same parent. I emailed both with some questions, responses came back from the same email address. Also jks told me the hydrolic bump in those front adjustable jks bumps are made by Radflo. I assume radflo is owned by them as well.

Outback is Teraflex’s HD spring. I’ve been elated with them. I gained 2” full inches going from another brand’s 3” non-hd to the teraflex 3.5” outback hd.

I do have Ram 1500 lift springs in my rear. They work great. Soft feel with good capacity. And they fit on JT’s.
The ram 1500 springs you have are the OEM taller lift springs?

They, and BDS, are all the same. In fact bds parts are usually identical to jks parts, with different badging. Tech support is the same between jks and bds.

They are BDS 3” lift springs intended for a ram 1500. They work great. They have my gladiator an effective lift around 4.5”. This was when my front was using 3” lift jks springs. When I replaced my fronts with 3.5” teraflex hd springs, it leveled it and I lost the rake temporarily. I added a 1.5” teraflex spacer to the rear. But I’ll likely replace that with those Rockcrawler wedge spacers to correct spring alignment. Either way, I’m extremely happy with how it rides on and off road. It’s exceptional in my opinion.

Any idea on the spring rates?
What's the unsprung length?
After you put them in, be curious what your ride height length is as well.
Could you grab the inner diameter as well.
@Dkman71 Could you grab the free length of the fronts as well, I'm gonna add them to my list of springs I am putting together? Are you putting the AEV fronts in as well?

Very interested to see what your measurements are once you have them installed with weight on them!

@Rusty PW Any chance you could you measure the widest part of the bump, the gold cap that the Hydro bump screws into? Have you noticed the spring hitting it at all? What about spring bow, the factory upper isolator is tapered and I had to rotate it to get rid of the bow in my springs. With the JKS adjustable front bump the spring sits on it which looks to have a flat rubber isolator.

Are they true oiled piston hydro shocks, or are they foam shocks like the teraflex speed bumps?

The rubber isolator on top is a flat piece. I have a little bit of bow on each side, but in different directions. The springs haven't rubbed. Have to wait until it quits raining for the measurement.

The diameter is 2 13/16".
