I ordered a rivian on day one also but I’m canceling for the cybertruck which I ordered last night

I ordered the 3 motor with self driving so I’ve got a couple years

Samesies - I ordered as well. The tri motor with self driving. I am a huge Sci-Fi fan and Blade Runner is my all time fave movie so it was a no brainer. Just need to make sure I save for it and hopefully pay cash in 2 years.

I thought it was a joke when it rolled out but it grew on me quickly. I really like the way it looks. When he said "Bladerunner" he wasn't joking. That or the APC from Aliens. Both designed by the same guy if I remember correctly.
I think its awesome. i'm not going to buy one, but I think they're super fun. I totally agree with his 100 years of same old truck video. BORING, that's why i like the JT, not the same old thing. Cars in general are boring today. Cudos to Tesla and Elon for being bold and unique as usual

I dislike the interior of the cybertruck, but the power, towing, payload, ramp, super tough exoskeleton, ect.....awesomeness! 6'5" guy sitting in rear seat on TFL video.

Competition makes everyone up their game. if you don't like it I can understand why, but it'll help the whole auto industry improve IMO.

I completely agree, though I could possibly see myself in one of these eventually. Maybe if they came out with a mid size version a few years down the road (seems a little big for me). But Tesla definitely set a new bar in terms of price and capability here. I quite like the Rivian R1T, but it's way too expensive for me to consider. The mid range Cybertruck isn't much more expensive than my JT (finally got the build sheet today, so it's getting close). A lot more people could afford something like a Cybertruck than either of the Rivian models. It'll be very interesting to see more details and reviews come out on it over the next couple of years. And to see what other automakers come out with in response.

I think it will look pretty cool being towed by my JT.

Ever driven a model x? The windshield bottom is so far away it's really annoying. this looks 10x worse. No way you can drive this and feel comfortable with where the corners are in any off road situation. Jeep JL/JT And Land Rover Discovery/LR3,4 (before the 5th gen recent abortion) win in the critical driver visibility category for me.

I watched the reveal live and it was one of the most unintentionally hilarious press conferences I've seen. I was flabbergasted when it rolled out. I thought it was a joke; that he was trolling us and would soon bring out the real truck. I hated it.

But now I kind of love it lol. It's like something from my childhood fever dreams.

it's pretty damn ugly, but it's grown on me a little bit.

though i have to say that anyone that likes this can no longer make fun of the aztek, pinto, ridgeline, etc etc.
