I just remembered haha, the route goes directly through an active golf course on the first day. No one golfing seemed to batt an eye but you will certainly feel out of place! Just so you don't get as freaked out as I was when I realised.

A buddy and I are planning to do the north section on dual sports this spring. He lives in Columbus so we'd probably pick up the trail around Jackson/Six Flags and go north, camp for the night, and then run it back. I'm trying to figure out how far it is from Jackson to High Point Park. Do you think you could make that section in a day?

How much of the northern section (your day 1) is off-road?

Very cool! I'm with most of the above: my first thought was that this would be a parody on toll roads and turnpikes. I was raised in PA and regularly visited NJ to see family. I never would have thought there was a trail like this up there. I may have to add this to my list of trails. I'm currently working my way through the Trans-America Trail piece by piece, and this would be a nice addition!
