I weighed the Jeep before hand and I'll drive down after it's on and get the weight too. It's beefy so I'd imagine it adds quite a bit of weight. I think the final missing panel will be here tomorrow so I can at least get the shell together and a weight with the rack ribs and the plates. Waiting on some info on the internal spare tire relocation so that might be a bit.

Build is primarily for fishing or are you planning to offroad?

I live in small town in the mountains. Our driveways around here are "offroad". ? Once I'm done with automotive school, I hope to take some overlanding trips to some cool fishing spots with it. For now, I'm just trying to secure my tools and have a way to put my fly fishing rods on top to help get on and off the river faster. ?

So possible RTT atop the back? Looks good. Last 2 trucks I've had had campers and I rarely needed them as I ageded. (not a typo) if you're using it for work as well I wholly understand. Security is paramount...especially these days.

Definitely eyeing a RTT eventually. I'm building a DIY rack on top with aluminum extrusion that's heavy duty enough for one when the time comes.

Looking forward to seeing it. I'm a first time Jeep owner....had other offroad vehicles...baja bug, Pathfinder, buggies. So far having a ball building AND watching the builds! ?

Getting ready to add a aluminum extrusion (8020) homemade rack and Riversmith River quiver. ?
Those quivers are nice, good quality.

Murphy, NC, oh how I remember you twice a year (March and November) on our Tellico trips. Tellico was the ultimate off road experience for us Florida folks. Murphy was a great town to set up base. The steak house across the highway from the "new" WalMart was near about the only place to eat in town. I miss those trips.

Tellico is a beautiful area. I hiked "The Hangover" and spent the night up there. One of the most epic views in the area.

Added some butyl tape under the top panels of the Rebel Off Road XCAP to try to make it more weather resistant. I have a few rust spots already where there was damage from shipping so I have to clean and touch those up. Fortunately, matte black paint works pretty well on the finish from ROR. Going to try to get the rack on in the next day or so weather permitting.
