I drive like 90 on 37s

Guess I better say my prayers
It’s all subjective. Some people are comfortable flying at 1,800 MPH in a synthetic jet. Others are popping Valium’s to tolerate doing 65 in a Gladiator.

When I was in the service department getting my first one back in October, the service advisors were gathered around laughing about a business screaming bloody murder about being denied warranty repairs.

I overheard them talking about how truck last had an oil change in like 2016.

How many of those types of folks are self-reporting their behavior in Internet forums?
Rationalize it however pleases you. The point still stands. Spent much time on the super duty forums or is this just an admission that Jeep owners are the better of the bunch ?

That says 2005-2019 models.

I have a new 2022.

What am I missing, ma’am?

Huh? Ma’am, ma’am, ma’am?
He clearly stated it only went through 2019 as of the last court filings. The super duty from 2017 on is the same platform as your 2022.

Did you do much product research before buying the super duty? Similar to the exceptional research you clearly did regarding the Jeep?

To answer your question: No, I didn’t do any research. I just woke up that day and decided that I was going to dump my Gladiator and purchase an F350.

As one poster pointed out, during the pandemic F350s have been going for as much as $30k above MSRP: can you point to a similar price point moment or climax for the Gladiator?

Or has it hummed along with plenty available and a 6-8% discount off of MSRP.

What kind of research does that illustration and financial equation require?

It outlines the very basic supply and demand dynamic present in our economies.

Are you implying that due to supply and demand dynamics and an inflated price it’s reliable and devoid of common defects and thus in no need of research?

Fascinating logic ?

That’s not what I’m implying at all. The Gladiator is a bit of a niche vehicle. Tradesmen types aren’t exactly hauling 8-foot sheets of plywood around in these things on job sites. It’s a jewel off-road, but it’s mostly a one-trick pony. Says right in the manual, DO NOT PUT A TRUCK CAMPER IN THE BED OF THIS VEHICLE.

It took us awhile to circle around, but I’m glad we’re back to discussing pricing in a pricing category.

I said nothing about the gladiator in that post…

Giving it some thought it’s not accurate to say that I didn’t do any research. It’s just not the kind of research many of you are expecting.

I have Google alerts setup for various topics. One, for example, is the new and used vehicle shortage situation.

News reports indicate that we’re probably at the turning point where used car values are going to take a nosedive. Likewise, supply chain issues, chips, etc., appear to be more readily available. And even if we have another total meltdown with the virus, we’re not going back to mass lockdowns. Nor is the government gonna pay people to stay home again, etc.

So that begged the question: At this juncture, am I happy and content to keep the Gladiator? Or should I dump it before it loses a lot of value and get something that suits me better?

I chose the latter.

I was transparent that the reason I bought it is because it was pretty much all I could get new in July when I purchased it.
