So would the 6lbs less per tire of the BFG KO2's save me fuel even if they're 1" wider than the 11.5" Nitto Recons? Or is wind resistance negligible?

Discount Tire, is selling me 5 Nittos at $2255 or 5 BFG's at $2364 + mil discount.
I would go skinny

Nope. These are only 1 inch narrower than standard 37's. A "pizza cutter" would be more along the lines of a 37x8.50r17.
I totally agree. When it was first mounted it did look kinda skinny when it’s clean, but once its dirty not so.

Looks great! I was wondering if the Recon Grappler offered the aggressive look I was after (hey looks are important even on the trail LOL).
Recon Grappler has 2 different sides. Yeah, I was debating whether to mount the more aggressive side of it. In the end, i feel the tamer side fits the look what I’m shooting for; like military trucks, etc. Total agree about the looks, that’s why we have the jeeps ??

Here’s the aggressive side.

Very tempting to buy these to replace my Kenda Klever 35s.
They are in excellent condition with only about 14,000 miles on them. Tread still looks new. I would think I could get maybe a grand for all five.

I actually still have my OEM upgraded Mojave wheels. Would make a nice set to somebody. Good condition nice 35s on the nice Mojave brushed faced wheels for 1500 bucks or so……

Hmmmmm….37s would be nice….. and realistically, I’d be better off with an all-terrain with the amount of highway driving I do…..

Was at Discount Tire yesterday and they called called Nitto to confirm. The Nitto Recon 35x11.5x17 are discontinued. Figured if I had a flat, might be difficult to replace. Something to consider for tire purchases.

Went with the Nitto Recon 35x12.5x17 on Black Rhino Armory 9.5". They do poke out from the fenders some, but fit fine on a stock Mojave. I lost some spacing between the new tire and top of the fender lip over the stock 33" tires.

Here are a few more action shots. Tires do pretty well, but take a bunch of weight to balance and howl like a pack of wolves. I am planning on upsizing to 40's and 13.5 with a better compound for more traction though

I looked at those tires, but the L speed rating of only 75mph is a deal breaker for me. The mojave is typically cruising that fast in the dirt. On the freeway the cruise control rarely gets set below 80mph.

So they are no longer available?

Just talked to a rep at Nitto. There is still stock available for ordering. Hard to say how long they will be around though.
