This isn't entirely true. I agreed to let them send me the tire I was shorted as long as it could be here by the end of this week. I also feel like a partial refund for my trouble is in order. If they can send the tire they shorted me and reimburse me for my trouble, then I will accept that resolution. If not, then they can process a refund and pick up the 3 tires they sent at their expense. It's not that unreasonable. They lied. The honus is on them.
Good luck with that. I don't see them giving a partial refund or paying for return shipping on an item you accepted and their return policy is pretty clear on their website but maybe you will get lucky. You are so convinced the lied and are out to get you when it could have just been a mistake. You know how many times my orders got messed up in my lifetime. When I lived in CA I ordered items from Brownells and they sent me someone else order that included high capacity magazines that you illegal in CA and you can't even ship them to CA. Did they lie to me and intentionally send me someone else order to get me in trouble. Those crooks. You could have taken the refund and gone to discount tire which price matches and got their warranty on all 4 tires if you wanted it for peace of mind and been done with already.

The return policy only applies when I receive what I purchased. I'm sure my credit card company will agree.

I don't know why you are waiting to call your CC company. It won't automatically trigger a refund, but it will bring make the company sit up and take note. With their policies it doesn't guarantee you a refund, but at least you should get some faster communication. Charge backs are not good for a business, and can result in getting hire processing fees levied upon them or worse being cancelled entirely.

With their "return shipping is on the buyer policy", the argument can be made that failed to ship a complete set of 4-tires the three are useless, and thus a full refund and return shipping is in order.

If you can find a tire/wheel locally I'd fight for a refund of the missing tire/wheel and something for your time.

Good discussion point, they're in breach of their own deal. They failed to render services and goods within the order placed.

Try to find a 4th tire locally, if you find one get the 4 mounted, ask for a refund for the one they didn’t send. Learn, Move on and enjoy your new tires. Life’s to short.

Boomers ruined everything? We tried to get population growth under control, we began to clean up the polluted mess created by the post WW2 folks. And we would never vote in a president like you all did. We had enough colleges and universities that anyone could go. And we don't spend our day on TikTok. We are still out cutting firewood, raising crops, and creating true product not influencer videos or scripted "reality" TV. We set all of you up for success.

I suggest to all who want ot whine about boomers go tuck your hair up into a bun, brush out your beard, grab your man purse, hop into your electric car (once it's charged) and go.

Good luck with the tire issue., I think, if the tires are available elsewhere, get the refund and buy the 4th tire from somebody that runs a better business. (oh, wait, boomers retired so you can't)
AMEN.......Fred !

In reality, you boomers created where the country is now. The pleasant life you lived in your youth was gifted from your post-war parents. You didn't do that, you just were PRIVILEGED (uh oh, buzzword warning) to have been the recipients of the previous generation. You've had 75 years to make the world a better place, or at least maintain your gifted prosperity, and you failed. The rest of the following generations have to make sense of your legacy. We're cleaning up your mess. That's the actual truth.

Call you credit card company and have the charges reversed already. Then you'll have your money back and 3 tires for the inconvenience.
It will happen like this.....

He will call the CC company and file a dispute. Standard practice is he will be given a temporary credit of his full purchase price pending the investigation. So he will feel good that he screwed them out of 3 tires. For about 60 days.

But once the tire company provides evidence to the CC company that the 3 tires were shipped and delivered, the credit will be reversed for the 3 and he will only end up with a refund for the 4th.

At the end of weeks of dealing with this, what he will end up with is the same deal the tire company originally offered him: a refund for the backordered tire.

Seems like a whole lot of work for no additional gain to me. But I guess he will feel vindicated - for a while. So maybe that's worth something. Who knows?

I have no intentions of keeping the 3 tires. I told them to pick them up. The reason for the CC dispute is that the return is due to them being in breach of contract and don't want them saying I owe for the return shipping and a restocking fee. This is their fault, not mine. I have done nothing wrong here, except order from a company that is terrible. Not a single apology for lying. No promise to make it right. Nothing.

This is where you lost me. All of a sudden you want free shit. Just sayin'.....
I was only saying that the seller should have offered something to make me feel better about the situation. It didn't have to be a free tire, but a token to say "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way to making me feel better about the fact that I waited two weeks to get something I can't use instead of just telling me up front and giving me the option to cancel the order.

I guess I should have done a little research before buying from them. Here's what I found so far. I wonder if I could report him to Turn 14 Distribution.

Who is, a little web digging.

I've long wondered about this. How can a company afford to pay somebody to not work? It's very strange, and seems to be extremely commonplace these days.

Imagine somebody out on a construction site decides to, instead of work, pull out his phone and start browsing forums and commenting. He'd be fired in less than 10 minutes. Strange days.
