I've long wondered about this. How can a company afford to pay somebody to not work? It's very strange, and seems to be extremely commonplace these days.

Imagine somebody out on a construction site decides to, instead of work, pull out his phone and start browsing forums and commenting. He'd be fired in less than 10 minutes. Strange days.
Well most of us have two monitors, and while running queries or compiling code on one screen, we're surfing the internet to feed the jeep addiction on the other. It was WAY worse during covid when everyone was working from home, day drinking. :LOL:

I work nights (12-9) in IT at a community college, and it is slow around here. I also have 3 monitors.

I told him to go ahead and ship the 4th tire. It took 12 days to get the first 3 tires. I'm sure it will be an adventure. I also called Turn 14 Distribution and spoke to a very nice person there. I gave him my Turn 14 Distribution PO number and the JaTP order number, and he was able to see all the information. I let them know the trouble I was having and asked him if the seller was to blame or if the seller ordered 4 tires and Turn 14 Distribution decided to just send 3 tires. He couldn't answer, but I suspect Turn 14 Distribution probably told him that there were only 3 tires, and he said to just send what they had without contacting me.

Glad to hear it looks like you are on your way to a resolution. I think I'll stick to Discount Tire locally for my tire purchases.
Good idea. You know Discount Tire and Tire Rack are the same company, right?

Good idea. You know Discount Tire and Tire Rack are the same company, right?
Interesting, not sure I knew that. I have a good relationship with the crew the nearby location though; have used them for years.

I just want to say that I feel like the people who are saying to just get a refund for the shorted tire are completely missing the point. This seller lied. He charged me for 4 tires, then 5 days later he shipped 3 tires, then 11 days later I received 3 tires. He knew he shipped me 3 tires. He didn't apologize for shipping me 3 tires. He even acted like he wasn't sure that he had sent me 3 tires and had to check with the warehouse. If I just let him refund me for the tire he shorted me ON PURPOSE, what is to keep him from doing this over and over to other people. If he has to pay to return the tires to his warehouse, maybe it will teach him a lesson. At this point, the only way I accept the shorted tire and keep the 3 tires I received is it he gives me some sort of partial refund. My old ass is going to bed. Nite!
I do see your point. I've been in your shoes; and sure a lot of us here have experience similar service. The thing is, there's no point to make. You are taking this personally, I get it. I do too. But they are not. Whoever this "he" you're referring to doesn't give a damn. It'll be business as usual for them. They're not losing sleep over this. So what I do now is whatever is convenient for me. And not to do business with them again. You do whatever makes you feel better.

But they are not. Whoever this "he" you're referring to doesn't give a damn. It'll be business as usual for them. They're not losing sleep over this. His name is Scott Rowbotham and he owns several websites that drop ship car parts from the Turn 14 Distribution warehouses in the US. You're right, he doesn't care about me and my order. I will certainly let as many people as I can know how bad my experience was. Maybe I can keep someone from having the same experience I have had.

Well, the 3 that I received came from the Turn 14 Distribution warehouse in Arlington, TX and the 4th tire is coming from Turn 14 Distribution's warehouse in Hatfield, PA. The 3 that I received have a manufacture week of 4724. Hopefully the 4th tire will not be old.

I wonder if Turn 14 is related to Turn 5....if so then all this makes perfect sense.

Holy 6 pages batman!!! 😳 I would have the charges reversed and send the tires back. Order from a better ‘ more reputable company’. Good Luck!!

The world we live in….EVERYTHING gets messed up and nobody communicates a damn thing. You end up taking your valuable time making phone calls, verifying information, sending emails…. it’s ridiculous!!
Nobody cares about the details and customer service doesn’t exist anymore.
