Hey everyone so ever since I lifted my gladiator I have this clunk noise only when braking and hitting the gas from a dead stop I got under gladiator to check for anything that could be loose and everything is tight except a couple things on the front end suspension (see video)

Is it supposed to be a little loose like in the video? It does make a clunk sound, so I want to think that’s the cause of my clunk noise. Please advise.

Not to muddy the waters here, but my drive shaft makes a -clunk- noise occasionally under the conditions you are describing. Also happens if I'm not holding the brake down tightly when i reverse out of my garage, or if i let off the gas completely and then get right back on it with no pause. Does not happen all the time, only under very specific conditions.

I have a 2022 overland with 2inch Mopar lift 10k miles, it drives me nuts as well, it’s like once you hear it once during your drive you hear it the rest of the trip.

I have similar movement and noise from my drag link and tie rod and no clunk when on the road. However, when I first installed the Mopar lift I had a clunk coming from the rear swaybar end link. I didn’t have the upper end link bolts to the proper torque spec. After retorquing to factory spec the clunk went away.

People Work?
Did you install the lift yourself?
Did you torque the control arms after the vehicle was back on the ground and under its own weight?
How much lift?
Did you install a driveline spacer?

I had a rattle I was chasing for months after my lift. It was the rear springs clattering against each other. Got a 1/2” ID hose and put it around the top of the spring when I had it on a hoist and the sound is gone

I put on a leveling kit and my front control arm gets loose occasionally and I have a noise when going over bumps etc. I can retighten and it’s fine. Going to put some red locktite on nut. The way I found the right one was to spray wd 40 on one place at a time and pushed front end up and down. When I sprayed control arm it stopped. Checked it and was able to tighten about a fourth of a turn

WD40 will degrade bushings, just so you’re aware. Better to retorque things one at a time to look for noise sources.
