I can understand both camps - hating the truck and loving the truck. My first Gladiator had the exact issue described, it took constant focus on stay in the lane. I loved the truck, but hated driving it and regretted the purchase. Due to other issues, the dealer swapped to a clone and driving this one is night-and-day different, soooo much easier to drive that now I love driving it (still looser than I like, but totally manageable). I'm doing 35's and a 2" lift next week, along with a steering stabilizer, and hoping that I still love driving it afterwards. At some point FCA has to recognize the design / mfg flaw that is causing the intermittent problem, until they do and they fix it themselves, it'll be rolling the dice to buy a Gladiator.
Same here... Mine is looser than I’d prefer it to be, but it got better once I put on the wide offset wheels and 37x13.50s. Extending the track-width seemed to help night & day. Hoping my Fox TS 2.0 (through-body) steering stabilizer will help take the rest of it out. Going to try to find time to toss it on this weekend.

Not sure who recommended the regular FOX Stabilizer... The "pulling" has been a problem for a long time with these. You have to get the FOX TS or ATS
[/QUOTE]

Totally disagreed with this.

I tried both the TS And ATS and steering was not even noticeably and made by steering wheel off center. The regular Fox one that’s around $165 really noticably firmed up the steering to a perfect amount IMHO.

I was severely disappointed with the ATS... you could BARELY tell the difference in the settings.

Also, the design of the TS and ATS is HORRIBLE, the bracket mount uses two SMALL Allen bolts that are extremely week for something that gets as much force as this thing gets. The fix from Fox was to put lock tight on these tiny bolts. So using lock tight to hold this thing on? Sketch to me. Go with the regular one that mounts with the two stock large caliber bolts.

Lastly, the key to the regular Fox is to prime it. The regular one is neutrally charged and SHOULD NOT pull to one side. It’s not like a regular unidirectional shock. This is a myth that seems to be out there. If it pulls it’s faulty, send it back to Fox.

Glad it worked for you!
Had both the 2.0 and the ATS on my 2014 JK. ATS was the answer and the adjustability tightened down the steering for my 5" lift and 37s.
Went with the TS on my Gladiator. Works perfectly
Have you heard issues with the bracket? I have not...

I have attached a snip of the install manual for the ATS... two small bolts, torqued at 12 lbs... sorry I wouldn’t be too confident in that. But hey, make sure you add the locktight!

You are aware that the bracket is designed with the hole in the center, to match the protruding pin that is machined into the bracket that attaches to the shock, which takes probably 99% of the force, the screws just hold it all together...

yep, that’s the problem, those dinky screws at 12 ft-lb of torque holding it all together... but hey if anyone feels confident with them, along with lock tight, go for it.

 Trying to explain mechanical engineering to someone in the medical field is like explaining the theory of relativity to a caveman... ;)

I'm not hating man, you're still cool :like:...Just giving you some grief. :CWL:

My first Gladiator Overland wandered like crazy from mid-speed to high-speed, it took constant attention to keep tracking a straight line. Due to other issues I had to swap it out for a nearly identical replacement, but interestingly this was wanders much less - but still too much, even for somebody used to driving trucks. I've been following threads on the Fox Steering Stabilizers and will likely go that route, but it would be good to hear from somebody who owns a Stock Overland with no lift kit, and confirmed that the Fox stabilizer fit and helped reduce the constant focus needed to keep to a straight line.
Just installed
FOX Performance 2.0 Smooth Body Steering Stabilizer For 2020 Jeep Gladiator JT

PERFORMANCE SERIES 2.0 SMOOTH BODY IFP STABILIZER - 985-24-173
On my Overland, easy swap direct bolt( *2) on. Tightened up the steering nicely, not an M3, but much better tracking and feel. Recommended.

Guys quick question: before reading this thread I just ordered the Mopar - Fox Heavy Duty steering damper.

Is this the correct route to go or a mistake?

Rubicon -
35” BFG KO2 - 0.75inch Front spacer to compensate for front winch. Net lift was 0.50 inch. Otherwise stock.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do they uncharge that $150 stabilizer for it to say "Genuine Mopar" and sell it at the stealerships? Seriously, I'm curious...Just like those damn "Mopar lift" Fox 2.0 IFP shocks are friggin like $250 each!!! You can buy the same exact shocks online (not from a Jeep dealer) for like $169 all day long.

$150.65 from allmoparparts.
Shocking (pun not intended)... I'd figure with that little Mopar sticker they'd charge an extra $100 or so, like they do the shocks.

Installed my Fox 2.0 TS steering stabilizer this afternoon and I have to say, it’s night and day difference!!! Worth every penny! It didn’t take out all the slack in the wheel, but it did take out a good bit of it, and it stiffened up the steering, handles bumps and ruts on shitty roads without snatching the truck into them (like it did before) took out ALOT of the over-steering issue (because it is a stiffer stabilizer), drives WAY better off-road, and allows me to drive on road with 1 hand, without constantly adjusting left & right. It now drives and handles like a normal vehicle. I'm not saying it's a cure-all, but it damn sure helps out! I could imagine how much better it would be if I installed the Synergy steering sector brace, too. That would be like driving a stock car (compared to factory steering).

Those worried about the mounting bracket design need not worry, that sucker mounts so precisely, I had to tighten the bracket screws down a little at a time, alternating, just to get it to go down over the machined-in swage on the shock mount bracket...There is beyond ZERO play, it fits so snugly. You also remove the factory bracket from the axle and use the 3 factory 13mm bolts to mount the new bracket onto the axle, and reuse the factory carriage head bolt, and 18mm nut on the knuckle-mounted side.

Very quick & easy install. Make sure you have a 1/4” Allen wrench. If you have one for your impact, it will make things even quicker.

Here's the one I ordered from Amazon... The first picture on the page is wrong, that is the JK mount (tie-rod mount) version, which is not the correct model for the JL & JT... The other pictures show the correct one. And the one you order in that link IS the correct model for the JL/JT. :like:

That’s a really good price for it from amazon. I have been debating the TS or the IFP

I was too, but when I saw the TS for only $65 more than the IFP, I jumped on it. It's been sitting in the backseat for like 3 weeks, because I hadn't got around to installing it. Glad I did now. It's night & day difference. Get the TS for that price.
