How much poke will I get on a 17x8.5 wheel with +18 offset and 5.46 backspacing this is on a 2020 maxtow

Should be the same as a Rubicon. Roughly an 1.5" of tread.

Yea that’s as far as I would ever want to go beyond the edges. I’m not a fan of wide tires anyway. Especially in heavy rain. I prefer nothing wider than 255, with at least 75 aspect ratio sidewalls. With no larger than 17x9” wheels. That’s what I will add when my stock 245/75-17 loose 1/3-1/2 their tread.

I have inner fender clearance problems at full stuff running the 37’s on factory rims need to move the tire out some to correct this seems 8.5x17 with +18 would move the tire out about 1.5 inches

FWIW…. I have 17 x 8.5” wheels with +25 offset.
Granted, I’m running the stock 33x11.50’s.
I would predict your 12.5” wide tire would stick out 1/2” farther than mine (factory fenders with no extentions).

I’m sure, You’d have clearance concerns with 37’s…..
