I had a wild hair this past weekend and took the lettering off the tailgate. It is naked now except for the eco diesel and Overland badges, What do most do in this canvas? Thought about the Oracle Racetrack light since I have the taillights or putting the " Gladiator" letters there, but not sure now. Any ideas from the group?

I've seen the old school letters used and then covered in matching body paint color vinyl so it has a similar stamped look like the old tailgate. Looked pretty sweet

If the letters were 'Gladiator', would you all have taken them off and replaced it with 'Jeep'?

would have been nice to see something embossed like the way Ford does it. but as they say Jeeps are highly customizable

I wish I could just have it smooth. If you get a chance could you tell me the measurements of the holes left after removal? My truck is black so I might go the hole cover method till I decide to get it proper filled and painted.

Otherwise I like the kaos designs embossed look. Somewhat still smooth and can get gloss black

The center of both holes vertically is 10" exactly from bottom edge of tailgate.
The center of left round hole horizontally is 21" from left edge of tailgate, the center of oblong right hole is 30 3/4" from left edge.

I just covered the holes with a couple of metal USAF badges. I like those full width panels!

I took mine off about four years ago. I put a bunch of stickers back there. Don't really care how it looks cause I rearrange everything every year. As a matter of fact, I just removed a few of the ones in the pic.

Why? Hell, I don't know. Cause I get bored!
