Hey guys, having a little issue. Went to Discount tire, swapped my stocks for aftermarket wheel/tire, transferred the TPMS sensors from my original tires. Since then TPMS not working on the dash. Drove over the weekend, tried slow, tried freeway speeds over 15 min stretches. Nothing, since unavailable. Stopped by Discount tire yesterday again, asked them to initiate the sensors with their scanner, again tried driving, still nothing.

Any suggestions? I figured going with my OEM TPMS that came off was the safe bet, I guess not.

If the OEM sensors are working correctly, they don't need any initiation or activation. They transmit when the wheels are spinning and are automatically detected.

This is an issue with some aftermarket wheels. It's a problem with the TPMS sensor, the radio module, or a combination of the two.

Since none of them are working, have Discount Tire try installing one of their new sensors in one of the wheels and see if it works. The solution may end up being four new sensors.

Interesting. I didn't go with any crazy wheels setup. Just got some Fuel wheels. I'll see if I can swap the sensors. Thanks

TPMS module might be bad or in need of reprogramming

I've got the same issue. All new sensors ordered with the tires from ExtremeTerrain. The vehicle won't recognize them. I've tried deflating and reinflation for each wheel set. MY22 built Apr22. Installed bt Discount Tire.

I will check my scan tool for codes see if it will clear. My rear Differential Lock sensor has also gone out at 50k miles. So, I will make an appointment with the stealership and see about getting it fixed. Or maybe just buy the parts myself and do the work myself. If they void my warranty because I just did the lift and 37s.

If it's just the new sensors not working, they could have shipped the wrong ones. If it no longer recognizes the OEM sensors, it could be the radio module and will require a trip to the dealer. I would recommend the same, have Discount Tire try one of their new sensors in one of the wheels and see if it is recognized.

There were two types of sensors installed by Jeep; depending on your year and date of production, you may need the others installed. My son's JLU and my JT had the same issue when new wheels / tires installed at America's Tire / Discount Tire on our 2021's. They made the change and all was correct after. Good luck!

Thanks. Knew about the year sensor upgrade. but I reused my OEM sensors which worked before on my car. So in theory should have worked after swap.

At 200 miles I changed wheels and tires - new sensors - Big-O tire got everything working before they retuned the Gladiator back to me!

Are you sure they reinstalled the original sensors? Having all of them not reading is kinda fishy. Maybe your new wheels are blocking the signal? I had the OEM sensors swapped with my wife's JL and it worked fine. On my Mojave,I bought new and never broke down my stock wheels and tires. The aftermarket ones needed to be put in learning mode but not the OEM. The OEM sensors should be recognized.

the stems look the same, so I would assume so. the old wheels just have a stem now, no tpms.

That's just strange that none of them work...... Almost like they are being blocked. My next move would be to try some aftermarket sensors from the installer. That way maybe they will make sure they work and can't say you got the wrong ones.

I have been having the same exact same problem. only 1 wheel consistently. I am trying to inquire with a a company that makes TPMS repeaters/signal booster for trailers to see if it would be a good supplement, I think the signals are way too weak.
