Any thoughts on this? It’s actually the 2nd time this has happened as this phenonemon initially appeared at approximately 2,000 miles on the odometer but it went away/cleared itself after maybe 50 miles of driving.

My rig is a 100% bone stock ‘23 JTM and other than initally setting the cold tire PSI at 37 per the door jamb when I bought it a few months ago its untouched. I also did check the tire pressure with a handheld tire pressure gauge last weekend and it measured 36 PSI all around so not sure what to make of it.

I really am desperate to avoid taking it to a CDJR service department but also want my TPMS system to work properly. Decisions, decisions…

mine used to do this, but only if it dropped past 5-6lbs of pressure. mine by default is 36psi so when the psi would dip to 31psi, i would get this message. usually cold mornings overnight of the jeep sitting. air them up to 36psi, maybe get 20 feet and the light would reset and id air down back to 32-31psi. i work at a dealer (not a jeep dealer) so the annoyance is minimal during the winter months.

if you keep having issues, youll have to go to the dealer.

its weird (to me) youre low two lbs and you get the warning

My bet is that at some point the tire pressure dropped below the threshold to set off the warning (likely due to temperature drop), then warmed up. I've found that when the pressure drops enough to set off the TPMS, you then have to pump the tires up enough to re-set the TPMS warning, which should be 37psi. Unless you get the pressure to 37psi or above, the TPMS light stays on.

There are a few ways to lower the warning light threshold if you want the trigger point to be say, 32 psi.

No need to take it to the dealer.

You just need to do exactly what the screen is telling you to do, inflate to 37psi. Until you get a programmer to adjust the minimum threshold for the tpms to go off, it will continue to do this when your tires go below the factory set threshold.

It's not broke.

I've had this happen when tires were properly inflated to 36/37 PSI. It happens in the cold, and USUALLY - getting out and driving, and getting the tires "warm" will bring the internal pressure back up enough so that the warning will go off - as you observed. I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe inflate 1 lb PSI over what's recommended and it won't likely happen again.

And yeah, beautiful truck!!

Thanks to all of you who replied. On the way home from work today (this started on the way to work) the sensors fluctuated between 35 and 36 PSI. Once they reached 36 PSI, the red outlines on the TPMS screen cleared and the (!) CEL cleared as well.

Anyway, Im going to inflate all the tires to 38 PSI cold and hope it holds. We shall see I guess…

With a Tazer. You can set the warning to 25 psi. That's where I have mine set. With the 37's. I run 27 psi in them.

38 cold is too high. 37 is where they should be if you don’t want to prematurely wear out your tires.

Agreed. My previous post was of course only for stock tires. I run my 37’s at 27 as well. Different load range, size, everything.

Am I missing something? The thread title and your second post both refer to the CEL light being on as well which would look like this:
Jeep Gladiator TPMS warning and (!) CEL @ 35psi - Bone Stock ‘23 JT Mojave w/2,500 miles 1705070496314

If you truly had this light on then there is ALSO some other issue.

Seriously...not trying to be that guy. His title said TPMS warning AND CEL. Just trying to get clarity if they were actually both coming in.

I get it. But per the context of the posts, he’s only mentioned tire pressure warnings. Some people use CEL as a general term. He’s got a brand new gladiator and just wants to know nothing is wrong with it.
