Trak loc vs. Select trac

Difference between trak lok and selec trac. Pulling the trigger on a jt soon, will admittedly see dirt roads and snow maybe 2 weeks a year. Looking at high alt and overlands. I've had jeeps 26 years now only other vehicle besides harleys was dodge Dakota and the ass end slid all over going up dirt/semi slick "mountains" of western pennsyltucky. Please give me your 2 cents on which system would be better suited (if either) for my new daily driver . Thanks

Selec-trac is essentially an automatic 4wd system. It's RWD until you need it. It sends power to the wheels that need it when they need it. It's great for constantly changing road conditions. Doesn't do much for off road. I ordered a Gladiator with it in Sting Gray. But my dealer got in a Nacho with everything I wanted but it. So I chose color over Selec-trac. Wish I had it but I'll live without it.

According to the manual, in 4H Auto High Range the front axle is engaged, but the vehicle's power is sent to the rear wheels. The four-wheel drive system will be automatically engaged when the vehicle senses a loss of traction. On normal roads, 2H or 4H AUTO can be used, but 2H if more fuel efficient.
