I almost bet they won't be unhappy. It gives them a unit to sell. A lot of dealerships are struggling with that now. I wish I had the full time 4wd. Part time is good in snow, of course. But full-time is much better, especially in rain and other conditions. But I can't get full time, because it's not available on my configuration.

See if they can't build you another, and sell the one you ordered on the lot.
This dealer ship cannot get rid of a new 2022 gladiator rubicon.. its listed for 55k with an msrp of 62700. Crossing my fingers that they'll bend.

Select Trac is awesome in the winter. I can't imagine anyone living in a snowy climate not wanting it. I special ordered mine with it
Yes, here in Wisconsin it is needed very much. Ordered Selec-Trac on mine as it was a must have after having auto 4wd the Ram 1500 that I traded in. As others have stated here, it is not a full time 4wd setting. There is a specific setting for that that is called part time 4wd.

I will leave it in auto 4wd mode all Winter as I did with my Ram. Had no real effect on my already poor fuel mileage as it only engages as needed.

As long as you don't turn, just keep it in part time 4x4. I leave mine in 2wd most of the time in the winter. Otherwise, good tires help with traction.

I don't think your dealer would penalize you for starting another build. Actually, Firecracker Mojave's are unique (just did a search), and I would think that they would have no issues selling it if it is too late to cancel the current order.

Bad thing is you will have to start over if it has been built and have additional waiting time for your JTM. Your dealer should be able to get the current status of the order and help you.

They are unique, and one dealer around here has had one for months.

It takes a big pair to not go with current trend of bland black, grays, or white.

I wish that was an option when I ordered my Overland in May of 2019.

I had that system in both my '96 and '03 Grand Cherokee Laredos. It TOTALLY rocks when it's messy out. Like some previous posters have said, when the road goes from wet but plowed to snowy/slushy every 200 feet, it's a godsend in that you don't have to think about it, just let it do that voodoo it does so well :rock::rock:

Living in NE Ohio, I ordered Selec-Trac on my 21 JTR. I was already familiar with the Jeep terminology, had Selec-Trac on my previous two 99 XJ Cherokees.

The local Jeep dealer has (3) Willlys, (5) Rubicons, and (2) Mojave’s on the lot. All 2022 models, none of them have the Select Trac or Adaptive Cruise options. Supply chain issues?

Dealerships just don't seem to order with select trac. Never have. I'm not sure why

i suspect depending on your climate selec-trac isn’t needed or the dealers buy a package that’s based on statistics

Michigan….. I haven’t seen many with the option in my area. My Wrangler JLU doesn’t have it and neither does my friends JTR. Both are great in the snow. Didn’t order it on my Mojave either. Not sold on the option being a “need” must have.

Update the dealer finally called me back only took weeks.. And now with the price increases a new order w/ select trac costs 2000.00 more. Killing me.
