Something to think if planning on doing a tranny service. Deep pan with drain plug. They also make a shallow pan.

According to Northridge that only fits the Diesel. Looks interesting I definitely think of getting one if it fit my JT.

That's due to the crossover exhaust on the 3.6 goes underneath the oil pan.

The diesel doesn't have the cross-over pipe under the oil pan.

If someone really wanted the deep pan on a 3.6, they could hit an exhaust shop and have the crossover pipe rerouted further back so it would clear the deep pan.

Does anyone know if there's a good deep option for the 3.6? Have a 2020 Rubicon working on 65K miles so planning on doing the tranny fluid at the next oil change.

Not really because the exhaust crosses underneath the pan.

Yeah - I watched a video of an option where someone had to grind down some of the fins to get the proper clearance, but I don't feel like doing that amount of extra work.

Buuuut, I also don't want to replace the pan without a deeper one if I go to all that trouble.

So I'm conflicted :)

PPE does sell pans with the fins machined for the application.

I installed the PPE pan at 44k miles. The transmission fluid I saw in there was definitely not going to last a “lifetime”. Im gonna be doing fluid drain & filter every 3 years which in my case will be probably 30k miles unless I start trailering it to big trips in which case it’ll be more like 8-10k.
