Any example of what you have it set up for?
I have not yet purchased, but I figured possible uses include rear lighting for hooking up trailers, hanging out and eating brisket at swap meets until 2am (or later).........
When I ordered the truck I figured I'd never ever see any need for the aux switches. I mean, what could I ever use them for? Then I see some examples here - and examples of this switch in use -
https://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Performance-Lighting-PL-SW29-Wireless/dp/B000BRJF62

I'm on the list for the LED backup lights from Oracle - depending on how they set those up wiring-wise I could use such a wireless switch for them.

Could be used to control a solenoid winch disconnect, I suppose although I have a manual switch under the hood for that. I found the company I use for alternator and starter parts for my restoration business also sells constant duty solenoids and I'm going to look into those - maybe even stock them with other parts I have.

What do you restore, exactly?

Wiper motors (I do all of the zinc plating, as well as the rest of the restoration) specializing in the Prestolite and Motorcraft types used on AMC
Starters - mostly the Ford/Motorcraft 4.5" as used on AMC (and Jeep after AMC took over)
Alternators - any type but I specialize in Motorola and GM 10si as used by AMC/Jeep
HVAC blower motors as used by AMC (or others for that matter)
Individuals as well as some people in the business of auto restoration send me things to restore.

Also if someone sends me suspension parts like control arms, AMC spring supports, etc. I'll rebuild them - powder coat if they wish, rebuild with new bushings.

I did the starter, alternator and heater blower motor for this car - Rich is a good friend who sends me stuff to restore now and then.

Starter I built for a guy's 68 AMX - found a shell with correct part number and date code close to his car's build date and built him a starter. I powder coat as much as possible.

A restored Motorola alternator - even had a set of stamps made up so I could reproduce the product code and date of manufacture. I plate pulley, fan and all hardware that can't be bought new ->

I purchased the 80th Anniversary in Dec 2020. Employee pricing promotion. Cold weather package, proximity, 8.4, trailer hitch, safety package, spray-in bed liner, side steps (one of the first things I took off and sold on FB Marketplace.) It does not come with leather seats but I would put these seats up against my Ram Rebel's for comfort. I know they will not be near as hot as leather in Texas in the Summer! I found a better deal on this truck than the Sport S at the time. I wanted the cold weather package and power dimming mirror (easy to tap into for the radar detector) and proximity sensor. That is one convenience that should be standard in all new vehicles that have push button start.

The real fun and $ start with the mods: tires/wheels, nerf bars, RC hard folding tonneau cover, Iron Rock 2" level kit. Next up bumpers!

How to go about tapping using it for power to power the radar detector?

Also looks like a difference between Overland and the sport would be with the LED package

Yes, that is a difference but you can change all of those out for around $400 and it is pretty simple to do.

I stripped my wires and soldered them and wrapped with electrical tape. It is really tight in that area. I used these taps for power: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082V1245P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The plastic piece on the back of the mirror pulls off so you can get to the wires.

I used this for the mount since I didn't want to use the suction cup mount. This works really well and I was surprised at the holding strength: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XSY13CC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

adding the safety package gives you rear LED and max Tow adds the DRLs.
Not sure why the separation but still possible to get them on Sport

Yes, but as pointed out, you'll still have halogen bulbs in the drls and front turn signal.

LED was an option on Overland - not standard. And as was said -you can change that yourself after the fact.

Yes, but the LED package on the Overland includes the LED turn signals, where the Sport doesn't.

And if you use them only as turn signals, it's no biggy. The only time it would matter would be if you were turning or changing lanes.
Only would matter to me if I was messing around making changes to function.

There will come a day when all vehicle lighting of any sort will by law have to be LED.
On the other hand, I've had LED bulbs go bad in other things so they aren't perfect.
