No problems on the drive home. I hooked up my battery charger, and it said the battery had a 95% charge. I put it on slow charge, so it should be topped up in no time. I only disconnected the negative from the main battery. I didn't know I had to disconnect the idiotic battery underneath. I guess that means the factory reset on the uConnect "fixed" the issue.

Mine 2024 did that once, powered off and back on started and was fine except CEL was on. The CEL stayed on for 3 engine cycles and went off, never did it again. Figured have 3 years of full warranty to see if it ever comes back.

Instead of chasing your tail just take your brand new truck to the dealership for an inspection. It's under a bumper-to-bumper warranty which means if it so much as looks at you weird you don't have to worry about it. No service charges, no inspection fees, no high blood pressure.

I am all for diagnosing and working on my own stuff, but when it has a warranty? I'll document and pass it along, that's what the warranty is for.

Even if it's not repeatable, the fact that you will be on the record as having had them check it out can create a useful record for a possible future issue.

Just a word of caution, just by removing the negative terminal from battery does not de-energize the electrical system, you must also disconnect the negative cable from the clamp that runs to the AUX battery (usually the smaller gauge black wire). I think a few folks have found this out the hard way. They thought they were disconnected but with the AUX connected they blew a $60 high amp fuse array.

Some of us don't have time to take a vehicle to the dealership every time it has an issue. I've owned over forty vehicles in my lifetime (about fifteen of them were bought new) and have only taken one to the dealership for repairs about five times. If it gets to where it does this a lot, I will take it in.

Just trying to save you some time, the benefits of owning a new vehicle only benefit you if you use them. The dealer can (and should) give you a free rental, shuttle to work, whatever to keep your day moving. If you work 3rd shift or something I could see where that would be an issue. Clearly though you have some time to go to the dealership, as you've been there at least 45 times during your life ;)

What’s work?

Stay simple like you’ve done so far, if it persist than take it in. My one and only JT, which I don’t have anymore would on occasion loose its mind. Personally I think there is so much multiplexing at play on these trucks as with really any new vehicle that the functional software trips over itself occasionally.

Unrelated to the CEL but my backup camera failed to connect a few times randomly. Decided to look at the problem myself and found my connector to the camera had lost its safety clip. Plugged it in again and zip tied it down, no issues since.

If you can I'd run a battery health test on both batteries if you have someone that can help you with that. Sometimes voltage is ok but other things aren't.

You'll find the nightmares with most brands. It's not a Jeep thing. And if you are searching the internet for such things, then it's like an alien visiting a hospital to determine how healthy the human race is before invading. Forums are magnets for problem discussion.

Why not get the malfunction indicator light code checked?
Most parts stores can do this for free. Otherwise, just saying "I have the CEL on" could mean many dozens of things from a misfire to any number of other things.

Also - take a decent volt meter (don't use the truck display) and check the battery voltage while it's sitting, not running.
Very good point regarding the concentration of negatives. I use analogies a lot, and the hospital analogy was right on point! I have a 2023 Mojave and we have had zero issues with it so far (23k miles). I suspect that the vehicle sitting for an extended period of time between the manufacturing, and the actual sale, may be the culprit. Hopefully, with usage these problems will go away.

A free battery test at an Autozone is the first great start for any electrical malfunctioning Gladiator. My 2020 started acting up last spring and it just needed a battery. The one's that sitting a lot a long time and drain out tend to die early. If the battery checks out leave it on a self regulating charger overnight to get back to completely full

Well, I've heard the nightmares. I ignored them and bought a Gladiator. Today I went to my garage and got in and started it and was presented with a flurry of messages, the main one being "Service Electronic Stability Control". I tried to back out of my garage, but when I shifted into reverse, the vehicle did not change gears. I shifted back into park and turned it off and opened the door. Then I closed the door and started the Jeep again and got a different message about the cruise control but was able to shift into reverse and back out of the garage. I drove to work and parked, but now I have a check engine light on the instrument cluster. I will probably go back out and see what it does during my lunch break. The only other message I have received since I got it was the one with the star, which I believe is the collision warning alert while starting the Gladiator in my garage. Any ideas?
I went to a similar experience. I bought my Gladiator new, and the engine light came on at about 300 miles. I took it to the dealership, and they fixed it. It turned out that there was a defect with the camshafts. Itstayed for 3 weeks at the dealership, and I wasn't happy about it. However, I contacted Stellantis to file a claim. I was able to get extended warranty. I highly suggest that you take it to a Jeep dealership and keep track of the repairs if needed. Always ask for documents (proof) of what is or will be done to the truck by the technicias, and contact Stellantis to open a case. They will help you.

Ah, just like my paychecks did.

AutoZone for battery tests - like going to a veterinarian when you have the flu. You might get lucky and find someone who knows something, and you might not. They put on a pretty basic tester, too often not realizing they must disconnect these batteries from each other and the system itself to get a good test. And if the battery is already low - they can't get a good test.

I don't trust auto parts store employees to check anything properly - not since the 1970s when most of them actually went to school for auto parts store training.
I have yet to see one that knows squat - unless you get a hold of the oldest employee there, over 60 or so.

I'll test it all myself, thank you - but then I have all of the proper equipment here, so I'm not about to let last week's burger flipper check my alternator or batteries out. Not unless I watch over their shoulder - very closely.

Sorry, I just cringe when I see "auto parts stores will test it for free".
If you go that route, make triple sure they know it's a dual battery setup and things must be disconnected, and the battery charged. Even Jeep won't let dealers test a battery that's below a certain charge level - they know it's not accurate at all.

Today, for the third time, I came out to the garage and got in my truck. I started it and immediately received the same messages to check abs system and check collision warning system and would not shift into drive. Infotainment system was dead. I turned truck off and opened the door then closed the door and started it again. Infotainment system came back up, but after like it had been reset. Sirius XM welcomed me to my new plan. Android Auto was on split screen. Errors were gone from the cluster, but check engine light was present. When I drive it during lunch, cel was still present. When I drive home at 5:00, cel was gone. I guess this is the new normal.

Any chance you or a dealer pressure washed the engine bay?
