What does this even mean? I had an appointment yesterday at 7:00 AM. I took it and they did nothing. The CEL can back on in the parking lot. Now I have to take it a second time. Your parents must be so proud.
Apparently you didn’t bother to get a loaner the first time and had to learn the hard way…
My parents were very proud of me having started 3 companies and sold them for tidy profits, put two great kids through college and they are now on their own, living in their own homes with beautiful kids of their own, owned multiple homes and have an 8 figure portfolio. When you reach my stage call me….ill wait 🥵

Till then stop whining…

Thank you. I called 1-877-426-5337 and spoke to someone who said she could not help me unless my vehicle was actually in the possession of the dealer and that I should call back on Tuesday after I drop off my vehicle. I will message you if I have any issues after Tuesday.
Sounds good, Jay. Keep us posted!

Since reading comprehension is evidently difficult for you, I will make this easy for you. I want offered a loaner yesterday. When I arrived, he asked if I was leaving the truck with him or staying. He said that it would not even take an hour. I said I would stay. Fifteen minutes later, they were done. I was told that flashing the PCM would fix the issue. I called the dealer back while I was still in the parking lot and told him the CEL was back. I asked if I could bring it back in and leave it. He said that he could not get me in for anything more than the reflash yesterday and to bring it next Tuesday. Your assumption that it was my decision not to get a loaner or leave it with them was a figment of your imagination. I'm glad you're so successful. Obviously your success is not in an area that requires any kind of critical thinking or comprehension. It seems odd to me that someone as amazing as you are has time to insult people on the Internet. Thanks for making the time for us little people.

BTW, both of my kids graduated from UT Knoxville with BS degrees, both are married, and both own their own homes. My son and his wife are doctors finishing up their residencies soon. I guess that makes me successful. I can't wait to see them later this month!

I didn't get the bingo thing either. Retired at 55 and don't have to work. Three grown kids and grand children. What does that have to do with any of this? IDK, I just thought I'd throw that out there.

I live 45 minutes from a dealer. I get it that you don't want to leave it and get a ride home. They should provide you a loaner. If I had the balls, I'd sit in their lobby until closing time waiting for a loaner. They will get serious trying to fix it on the third try. This is not typical. Give them a shot and enjoy your JT.

Thanks. I'm fortunate to live a mile and a half from my local dealer. I think they're going to get it fixed on Tuesday. I've really been enjoying it a lot. I work in IT and understand the failure curve is high when something is new and drops to almost zero until it starts to age. Hopefully this will be my last visit for a while. I'm also 55.

I retired 4 years ago. I kind of wish I was working. I miss the coworker
and all of the awe-shit stories. Since I retired, my list of "to do" things has grown. At least when I was working, I had a few break times during the day.

Both upstream O2 sensors were bad. How does that happen with under 1500 miles?

Glad to hear they got if fixed. If it makes you feel any better my Gladiator has been flawless and my prior JK has been super reliable as well. I still have it and have passed it on to my son.

It just worries me that two sensors were bad. Usually that means something bigger is causing the failures, like the ECM or bad grounds.

Let's hope the tech actually tested the sensors and wiring . O2 sensors tend to be a "shotgun shell" sometimes. They can write down what they did to reflect protocol the manufacturers give them. But you still have no idea what they did. I hope the O2 sensors were the case for you. I take it that you made it out of the dealer parking lot?

Yeah, they had more than 15 minutes to spend on my Jeep this time. They even kept it over night to make sure that a true cold start wouldn't throw the CEL

Well, six days later, and the same codes are back. I just turned over 1700 miles, and the majority of the miles since I got it were driven with a check engine light on. I took it by the dealer on my lunch and let them scan it. The service advisor seemed angry, and I don't blame him. I'm dropping it off tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM and will go from there. @JeepCares

I dropped it back off at the dealer today at 7:00 AM. They gave me a 2024 Gladiator Sport as a loaner. It's amazing how much peppier the 31" street tires are than the 33" WildPeaks.

I just finished reading this thread, Man I hate that you had to go through this.
What did they do to fix the problem for good?

Replaced all four O2 sensors. Weird huh? I'm at 4500 miles now, and no issues at all
