On the AMW site I see 35k for them to do the swap. So If I buy a brand new base gladiator for 30k then I could be in a 392 for 65k? Then I'm guessing you could get a pretty good price for selling a brand new v6? 4-5k?
You might see $3-4k for your take out engine and trans. Yes you'd have a 392 JT for only $65k, and it still wouldn't have the rubicon goodies or interior amenities of the wrangler 392. Are upgraded axles, gears, lockers, sway bar disco, etc important to you? Are you ok with the sleeper style build with cloth seats and a stock looking sport and only concerned with power? Yes it's doable, but in general mods don't add value well in the aftermarket so your $65k truck looks like a $30k truck and is worth little more than that.

That price does not include labor, so another 4kish for that. Probably could get 3-4k on engine being basically brand new. They offer a credit based on mileage, or you could deal with the hassle of trying to sell privately.

Oh thanks, i thought it was 35k for everything. I'm too cheep I could never do it but thought it may be a worthwhile option.

I think there are enough nannies in place especially on the wrangle that the Dana 44 is more than enough for that power. You could still easily break something if you being stupid with it. I hear a lot of recommendation to go 1 ton but to me very few actually need that. Its a lot of weigh and money and if your not rock crawling to the extreme you may not like how much it changes up the driving dynamic. For reference I've seen a stock Dana 44 hold up to a Viper 8 liter V10 through some stupid abuse and it was just fine. I jump my Mojave and I have no concerns that the axles will be an issue now or with the V8.
I jumped a Grandam one time stripped the transmission out ..lol yee haw !!
