The guy said this model was $56k delivered with bed, bedliner and L-track cargo system. Fricken awesome!
$56k not including a donor vehicle? Or do they sell the truck already built for that?

If they sell the truck at that price thats not bad, but if I have to provide a donor (just like AMW conversions), well then that's $70k+ in the end.

I'm wondering did they beefed up the frame behind the rear axle. Hopefully, i'll see one soon at one of their yards, and takes some close up photos of the rear cab and underneath the bed.

Their own literature is wrong about the transmission being a 9 speed. The 850RE is an 8-speed automatic transmission, branded as TorqueFlite by Stellantis (formerly FCA/Chrysler). It's a variant of the ZF 8HP family (specifically based on the 8HP50), built under license by Chrysler/Stellantis for use in various Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram vehicles.Key Characteristics
  • Type: 8-speed planetary automatic with torque converter.
  • Torque Capacity: Rated for up to around 369–450 Nm (roughly 272–332 lb-ft), making it suitable for mid-range engines like the 3.6L Pentastar V6 (and some 2.0L turbo variants). For the intended use of this truck they need to upgrade the transmission to at least an 8HP75 and add heavy duty auxiliary cooling for the transmission.

Acela does crazy builds of HD military trucks here in Bozeman, super spendy but I've crawled around on some of their builds and there's a lot of attention to detail. Hard to tell if they're remans or not when Acela is done.

Curious what they are doing to the JT platform to get certified at a higher payload. Although that reduced curb weight is probably much of it.

I've contemplated swapping my OEM bed for a SET Overland 6x6' bed and doing another OVRLND camper built for the flatbed. Not sure if I'd go for an extended cab to keep the overall length down or not, the very usable JT backseat is one of my favorite parts.
Id love one of those cab overs for base camp at some of the events. Would allow you to get way out and away from the crazy stuff at night.

That chassis was never designed for that kind of weight. We've already seen stock trucks with a fold in the frame between the bed and cab from too much tongue weight. What is this company doing to address that, and what kind of coils are they using to triple the payload capacity??
