Try clearing your cache on you phones uconnect app and or reinstalling the app. Also try a new usb cable.

Start with a new, good quality cable. I had this issue last July when I first got my truck. A new cable fixed the problem. The cables will wear with use. I started having intermittent trouble with mine again today. I need to get another new cable. I'm going to try one of the heavy duty cables designed for abuse.

I have added several aftermarket Android Auto systems and they are all picky about the USB cord. The better the quality cable the better the results you will have.

Changed the cord no luck. Used my sons phone and it worked fine. Is there a setting on my phone that is possibly preventing it from connecting? It is a Motorola Moto Z Force Droid. Worked fine for 2 1/2 months.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear this. What kind of phone are you trying to use? Please make sure you're using a manufacturer supplied cord.

Yes, I have tried several different high quality cables. I don't think that is the problem. My sons phone connects just fine with a cheap gas station cord. The problem is with the phone. Does anyone know of a setting on the phone or the radio that may be preventing the phone from connecting? Like I said the phone connected fine for 2 1/2 months. PHONE =MOTOROLA Z FORCE DROID 8.0.0 version.

There are no settings on the phone, that I'm aware of, that would stop it from working. If the phone doesn't work on any of the truck USB ports, but other phones will connect, then the problem is with the phone. Try connecting it to a PC and see if it will communicate with the phone. It's possible that the phone connector was damaged, or it's an internal issue with the phone. Were there any Android OS or phone Firmware updates recently?
