I’m thinking of getting I8ATSLA (I ate a Tesla) on my vanity tag. Any thoughts ?
How did you eat a Tesla? Is that what Gladiators are known for? You do you, but if I'm sitting behind you at a stoplight, that's what I'm thinking... I mean it might make sense if it was a sports car or even another comparable electric vehicle that was "better than a Tesla". My $0.02 USD because you asked.

Yeah, it takes too long (IMO) to determine if you, the driver, ate a tesla or the truck did. In either case, then you have to think what you're trying to convey. It just kind of takes too much cognitive deduction to determine that oh... this person doesn't like Tesla. That is inferred by default given you're driving a jeep pickup truck.

nothing i find more "look at me" than all those teslas with 'cute' ZEROGAS plates.

In this incidence, fighting fire with fire elicits the same visceral response from me. I just don't care for it.

You're driving the only convertible truck on sale today (one of 3 to ever be mass produced).
One of 3 convertible 4doors ever produced since 1967.
A vehicle known for high levels of customization. (both in a positive or a r/heep sense)

The gladiator is loud enough, no need to shout more.

^^ This right here ^^

Time for a brief hijacking of the thread: I have never understood why people pay for the vanity plate to put things like "MAZDA" or "MY RAM" on them. Uh..I know its a Mazda, says it about 30 places on the vehicle and I assumed it's "your" Ram; who else's would it be (doesn't say "STLN RAM")

IMHO, the vanity plate should be conferring something unique, witty, about you or your interest. I have 3 Jeeps all with vanity plates.

My wife's is a play on the articulation of her rig (because she wheels it) and the fact that she is an art teacher.

My Wrangler says "ICLIMB" but not because it's a rock crawler. My dad started rock climbing in the early 1970's and when the state we lived in started doing vanity plates, he had that plate on his VW Bug. I started climbing not long after and ever since, I have had that plate on one of my Jeeps.

My Gladiator, which is my "expedition" rig has a variation of the Julius Caesar quote "I came, I saw, I conquered" because that's the sense of accomplishment I feel when we've completed some deep off-grid overlanding journey.

@Jgfromthesip you gotta do what you gotta do and if you are anti-Tesla then send it! But the plate should be more succinct about your dislike of Teslas, because "I8ATSLA" doesn't really convey that message. Maybe just "IH8TSLA"...
