They are on the top, kinda look like grab handles almost? I want to take them off and paint them and was going to look for a video of other people doing it - - until I realized I have no clue what they are called.

Sorry for the stupid question. But I would appreciate any help you guys have!
I use mine to dry clothes.... If it's a light load, I place the clothes on hangers and drive about 35 MPH. And If it's heavy load, I place the clothes on hangers and drive about 65 MPH using the windshield washer nozzles to infrequently spray the clothes thus removing any wrinkles. I also use them to lay my windshield on when it is down. Either way it works out better than the pizza rack I first used them for.... Keep on Jeepin'

People tend to make excuses for their poor use of grammar. The internet has certainly exposed them. I cringe when I see it in memes and posts on the various social networks.
Even when I agree with the content, I simply refuse to share or repost anything that has poor grammar in it. To do so would be to promote and perpetuate its use.
Some call it lazy, but I'm leaning more towards poor education and the lack of understanding how to use the English language.

It's amazing that you have this point of view while using technology that is advanced by the generation you are insulting.

This generation is significantly smarter than the previous, even if our grammar is bad. The next generation is even smarter (joke, I know its 'more smart'). The kids/grandkids have potential through the roof.

So you keep harping on your English lessons and/or sex-labels. We will fix the world. You decide which is more important.

(PS - Dont forget that all the Greeks you made a living off of were fluid in sex roles and mostly illiterate)
Sorry to jump in but....... I researched this after reading your post and no, your generation is not anymore intelligent than any other generation. As an example... My generation went to the moon with less technology than yours has built into a cell phone, or a clothes dryer for that matter. My generation and that of my brothers and sisters fought two world wars and Korea and Vietnam with roughly the same methodologies. Yet we split the atom, conquered Polio, and a host of other previously fatal and debilitating diseases. In Viet Nam we had no cell phone calls home and no microwave ovens to cook our food, if we got any. My father saw man first fly, and then saw others build upon that to defeat the gravitational bounds of earth... and go to another planet, and defeat fascism, and communism and those who wanted world domination. Those who hated our freedoms.

In c. 287 BC a man was born in Syracuse Sicily. He was educated as Abraham Lincoln called it "by little's". He went on to define scientific principles still prevalent in Astronomy, Physics, and Mathematics.... and he invented tools and other items to lessen the work of man, and to even fight war. He is probably best known for stating "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world". Archimedes.

No generation is really smarter than another, and we as humans tend to achieve best upon the work of those who went before us. If there is perhaps such a measure upon which to determine smartness, I suppose it would be a measurement of humbleness.

No need to edit.

Does anyone put their windshield down?
Well I've had mine down 4 times more than my LJ's windshield. ?

Well my grammar and spelling sucks that I will not try to blame on anyone but myself and lack of use. But with that there is many people who try to act intelligent by using "$10.00" words that look much more foolish for it. This generation vs other generations has the latter generations experience to push mankind further in knowledge.
The worst thing to me is that "we" mankind have sat on our asses for almost 40 years on space exploration. That small step for a man and a leap for mankind, should have been a starter step for where mankind should be now.
Now the main thing is w have a big floating junkyard in space around earth.... As far as we know that's all we have done???
Sorry on thread drift. The latter rant should have been on the last Jeep thread.??

People like to know a thing others don't but also like to be condescending that they know a thing they you clearly should have known (in their mind).
What?

It continues to amaze me that people who can’t spell or punctuate try to defend it.

If you’re bad at spelling use a dictionary - they have them online you know? Quit trying to rationalize being less than totally fluent in your native language. Sheesh!
Well Dan, nobody’s perfect and I doubt anything here is going into publication for the world to read.
Life does not revolve around proper grammar on forums.
Smtimes tping on a fone wit fat fngrs dos dat.?

I take mine off completely and leave it in the garage for weeks at a time. I have learned to fold the passenger seat flat so as not to have the head rest covered in bugs.

Sign of the times, friend. The lack of reading and comprehension skills these days is part of the reason I retired from teaching. When every male and female person is referred to as a guy, we are doomed. A few more generations and we will have folks throwing rocks at the moon trying to knock off a piece of cheese.
Apparently a few things have changed since you retired ...
