W.T.F.D.I.G.M.I - Turning my daily drive into a trail rig.

Went by today and saw the tear down -

The old is out -

And the new one is in house -

3 pallets - one with the engine, one with transmission, one with all the extras-

Old V6 w/trans is sold and will be picked up Monday, about to list the hood, cowl, exhaust, and a few other non-reused parts, if anyone is in the market for anything in particular let me know.

I also have all the original plastic interior trim, if anyone needs a piece because theirs is messed up, mostly all the stuff from doors up though, kept the baseboard trim pieces around the doors.

Shipping notice today on the long arm Rockzilla kit from RockKrawler, so as of next week, everything is in house and we'll be pushing to finish it up soon.

She got cleaned up and got the motor mounts tacked in today. Then she got the hose!
Well, actually a pressure washing, at some point my PSC reservoir had coated the engine bay so it got a wash before the new motor goes in, hopefully V8 sounds before the weekend!!

Engine went on pause as the motor mounts were wrong...... Next day air'd a set to us, but in the meantime they started the fuel tank and suspension work, since the Rock Krawler Rockzilla kit had shown up.

She's completely bare underneath right now as the cut and grind brackets and weld up new ones.

Fuel Tank is in, along with the Anti-Rock Rear bar (no arms or links yet)

Rear coil over towers are started -

New ETA I'm being told is 4/10...

So we've had some delays and rearranging of the order we were going to do the work, but suspension brackets are getting mocked up and burnt in -

The rear is causing some cutting and custom fabrication on the sliders. I knew this might be the case as Motobilt sells a version of the sliders specifically for long arms that allows custom placement of the rear most mount, however my guys decided it was easier to notch the mount, then reinforce the mount and allow it to still work.

Still waiting on a few last minute things that should be here by Friday, but then it's the hustle to get it ready in time for Jeep Beach, which is the first big show it's promised to show at... I was really hoping to get a shakedown run in before my Windrock event in May, but I'll only have two weeks at best to make that happen.
