Why choose? Mopar steel as well as Arcus and others are modular. Feel like full with for the road? Leave the ends on. Ready to hit some trails? Take the ends off.

I took the wings off of my rubicon bumper not long after I took it home and never looked back.

I prefer full length, like the AEV unit that was shown at SEMA 2500yrs ago. So it should be ready annnyyy tiiiime now.

But, regardless, I do prefer full length.

Haha I'm with you there. Why not throw on a grumper while you're at it lol. Some people like that shit. I say spend your money where it makes a difference, not on AESTHETICS! Holy crap a lot of money gets spent on aesthetics that do NOTHING to improve anything. Spend that money on your wife, not your Jeep hahaha.. I spend the money where it actually improves something. My XJ is quite ugly after years of actual wheeling, but not $1 was spent making it "look good" Cheap steel rock crawler wheels etc. But that's a different story I guess. Spend your money how you wish.

"I could agree with you. But then we'd both be wrong. :)"
or.. as I like to say,
"you could say that, but you'd be wrong"
I guess I'm fine with spending $$$ om aesthetics. But the hulking, bulldozer bumpers don't actually add to the aesthetics - they detract from it.

I have the factory steel bumper and run it stubby. No serious off-roading, it's just the look I prefer. If I were buying, I'd probably go with the ARB Bondi which is more of a hybrid.

And I thought parking was hard to find in IA - appears even worse in AL

No offense but that looks like what would be under a plastic skinned factory bumper.
(Now they are ALL plastic)

Agree, that's kind of my point. Added weight etc. The Mopar bumper is more than some of those but probably weighs less than half as much.

@bigd081285 have you thought about a mid-width bumper? That’s what I have and love it. I feel like it hits the sweat spot. JCR makes one and LoD Offroad makes one too.

Full width for the win! I like stubby for crawling and approach functionality. I prefer fender protection these days as my crawling days were left long ago. More of an overland build.

Those tires stick out just the right amount! What tires/rims/offset are you rocking there?

Paramount makes a 'mid-width'. I'm installing mine next week. I am impressed with the build quality, welds, and I like that the winch sits down 'in' the bumper, leaving the grill clear for airflow.

They also make a 'full-width'

The outer mid-length or full-length ends are removable, so I guess with a spare set you could have stubby, mid, and full lengths?
