This is just unbelievable.. crazy.... My next visit would be with the General Manager of your Dealership. I would give him a date to have these parts and oil available, or just tell him that you are returning it, and want full credit towards something that they have where the parts are available. This is the worst lack of support stories that I have ever heard..:(
It is not jeep. I up until very recently, was delivery parts for O'reileys. We told all our commercial accounts to call before they drained oil on customer cars to make sure oil and filters were available. The diesel oil is very hard to come by as well as def fluid. These items are all stuck in the supply chain fiasco. Brake rotors are getting hard to find for certain vehicles as well. I heard that dealers are telling customers to either run over mileage or quit driving the vehicles as they can not get the parts. A sad sign of the times.

COVID is no excuse for this crap anymore. Get it together Jeep.
Why are you blaming Jeep?
They don't make oil and they don't make filters (of any type).
Jeep has nothing to do with this.
This is truly a supply issue - and perhaps a dealership issue, but it's not on Jeep in any way.

People need to get a grip and put the blame where it belongs, it's not on Jeep.
Just ask the FORD owners ->
----------------
2017+ Super Duty - Oil and Filters Shortages. ... said they didn't even have any 15w40 or any Motorcraft Power Stroke oil filters!
--------------------

It appears at times to be regional, but there's been shortages in some areas of oil for diesel engines for Ford pickups.

Here's a quote from a Chevy truck forum ->

Turns out GM's all new 3.0L I6 Diesel is having a major shortage on PF66 oil filters. My GM service advisor had been waiting over a month ...

Annoying. Sorry to hear. Even though I just changed mine, it makes me want to buy two filters, and 10 quarts of oil proactively. If I were you, I’d buy double if you find stock somewhere.
Its guys like you that have created ammunition shortages for the last 2 years. Ha.

Is there really a shortage? Every weekend I see tons of people out target shooting. This weekend I’m going on another desert cleanup to pick up their trash.
Its gotten better the last few months. Old guys like me who have plenty of cash and also reload aren't really affected.

The BLM mostly peaceful protests in the summer of 2020 created a huge group of new (often liberal) gun owners who didn't have any old stock to draw on. They were stuck for several months. I have friends who own gun shops who wouldn't sell ammo because they were keeping it so they could sell it to first time buyers with their new guns.

I'm sad to hear that people shoot and dont pick up after themselves.

PSA: Warning, I took mine in for the first oil service. The refuse to give me my paperwork on what they did.I know for a fact they did change my oil Because I saw them draining it. I am confident they did not change my oil filer. Service manager will not call me back.

likely because of supply chain issues, but still slimey.

See my above post(s). It is easy to take-charge of your basic maintenance routine.

Because I have two filters and 10 quarts of oil?! Slight exaggeration don’t you think. It’s not like my garage wall is lined with auto parts for years of use. I do two oil changes in 6 months on average.

Yes. Its called humor. That's what the "ha" at the end of the statement was meant to indicate.

Sure, talk to the guy who is not responsible for the issue that likely can't do anything about it.

Then give him a date that he can't meet and threaten to return the truck that he can't take back and you can't make him take back.

While you're at it I recommend that you stick your tongue out at him and conjure up the longest raspberry that you can muster. Follow this up by stomping your feet and telling him that your really really mad.

Sometimes it is out of their control. Like ... oh during an unprecedented viral event and major unprecedented global supply chain breakdown.

The other advice of rock auto and other aftermarket compatible products is likely good advice.

This is likely limited to oem stuff.
When a business, sells a product to a customer, and makes a reasonable profit, which they are entitled to, that business is responsible to support that product, at least through the warranty period. So if a part that is needed, is not available to the Dealer, then yes the Dealer did not cause this. But he needs to look for alternative ways to take care of his Customer. In this case, different brands of oil, and filter options. If that is not possible, then a Loaner vehicle needs to be offered. I am not going to debate this with you any further. You are entitled to your opinion, and I am entitled to mine.
