Hi Everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has had experience dealing with aftermarket warranty companies, or warranty companies denying service in general?
Here's my situation:
Bought a used Gladiator in August. Originally came form Canada, I bought it from a Jeep dealer in Illinois. Came with a CAN-AM warranty, which I was assured after my many questions that would cover the same as FCA.
Fast forward 3 weeks, I had steering issues and learned about the steering gear TSB. Also discovered that the back window seal leaks in the rain (there's a thread on that). And the keyfob covers were separating (a long shot for warranty replacements, but never hurts to ask. There's a thread on that too)
Took it to my closest local Jeep dealer here in Grand Rapids, MI. They inspect the vehicle, confirm all the issues, wrote up the recommended repairs, and contacted the warranty company. Warranty company says they need to have someone come out and inspect the Jeep - won't take the dealers word for it. An adjuster finally comes out after my truck sat at the dealer for a week, and the adjuster refused to see the water test for the leak, literally said "it's a Jeep", and told the warranty company to cover an alignment, thats it.
So now I have a Jeep with a new front end alignment covered under warranty, but with a leaky roof that now I have to cover all the leak diagnostic costs. Also no further comments from the warranty company about any further repairs - like the steering gear TSB.
Any advice on how I should proceed? Should I try to buy a different warranty? The current estimate for repairs is $3,000 ish. I feel like I'm being screwed over by the warranty company.
