Except the only reason they had 60 people was for training reasons. They had already put out the blaze the night before by spraying it for an hour and were now trying something new since it could restart.

These fires are serious, but this is sensationalism at its finest.
It reminds me of a documentary, if that’s what you want to call it, a car drives by a police station, (I think it was in Detroit) the car “back fires” and 60 cops take chase through the city then when the car is stopped they litter the driver and passenger with over 100+ bullets. I think a bunch of cops gave up chasing cause they thought it was stupid

Maybe a training exercise too??

I remember having to do “training” by watching videos. This is “what not to do”.

I think the overall point of the video is to stress that firefighters are having to learn as they go and experiment with techniques to handle these fires.
I'm sure that had to do that when cars first came out and burned hotter than bicycles and horses too.

Reignition seems to be an issue, along with the insane heat.

I had no idea. Looks like there’s some kind of electrical fire suppression needed in these vehicles. I also knew water and electricity didn’t mix well so I’m not understanding using water in this case. Aren’t there foams or powder that would be better?

Apparently nobody here is old enough to have watched a mag wheel burn, or an old VW block. Magnesium burns hot as hell, and it does it for a very long time. The trick back in the 70s and 80s to put them out? You guessed it... burry them in sand. Here we are 50 years later...

Fox again. Surprise surprise.
You do understand, or maybe you don't, that this is a local Fox branded affiliate station, and the parent stations are typically associated with a big three network. My local Fox affiliate, for example, is the child station to an NBC station. That station is owned and therefore guided by a larger corporation, like Scripps media.
Fox News Corp has zero editorial control.

So with those loopholes, you’d still trust a station “affiliated” with one just convicted of slander to the tune of 3/4 of a billion? I’ll trust journalists over commentators all day. Too bad fox doesn’t employ honest journalists.

Relax man...my local Fox station shares the same studio and on-air personalities with the CBS affiliate. Has absolutely zero to do with Fox News, zero.

You do you, but don’t tell people to relax. This thread was started to scare people away from EVs with fox sensationalism. I choose to not give one red cent to fox, of any kind. They are an organization I’d like to see fold eventually. I’ll personally throw a party if/when it happens.

Again...take a deep breath and relax...when you go to the zoo do you skip over the fox exhibit just because of the name. That example is about the same degree of affiliation that a local station has with Fox Corp, the conglomerate you have a personal vendeta against.
