If only this little truck with its v6 could do truck stuff.

1800 pounds of pavers 20 miles out a washboarded and muddy road no problem. Yes it's over the rated payload. No i don't worry about it even a little. The metalcloak 3.5" springs did a good job of keeping it out of the bumpstops even though it had some serious squat.
that looks like my road right now, The town claims back log and low employment and has not graded it since June... Maybe i should write the same on my tax bill!

Ours is private but the local guy is good about keeping it up. We just got a massive storm Thursday so there's only so much you can do.

Mine a town road , They Claim "Scenic Road" it was graded once a month all summer. It was wet and treated often to keep down dust. Had a happy road crew and he ran the grader himself. A couple years back the road agent retired and a new one hired with no mechanical background . He enlarged his office and is always claiming gear is broken and can't keep employees ....

This remote off grid cabin build has definitely had the mojave earning it's keep.
It’s inspiring. I’ve shown my wife the pictures multiple times. I’m impressed.

Makes us want to buy some land that allows for a structure to not be seen from the road. Not a house, but a cabin with a well would be amazing.

It would be a lot easier if it were closer to home... but then it would still be in CA. Labor of love and a great learning experience. Never framed more than a deck before this project. This will be both our longest trip and the 1st one with guests. We've been out here since Friday night and we are staying through Sunday. 4 more show up Wednesday night, but they'll be in tents.

The well will probably wait until we build the retirement house. We still have 300 gallons of the 500 gallon tank we filled a year and a half ago. We did get bougie this time with an off grid propane water heater. Warm showers in the winter are nice. It's not the nicest looking setup but I want easy break down to pack it away in the shed when we aren't out here.

It’s fantastic. I love the idea of the tank.

Just their springs? I wouldn’t expect much different than other springs. They make nice stuff. They probably don’t make their springs.

I bet if you talked to Currie, they’ll tell you to get your ride how you want it with your shocks.

Maybe try a new thread. It’ll get more attention than in this thread and possibly you’ll get some new takes.
