IIRC Most people take them off because of rubbing issues when running larger tires.

Here's mine when I had them on. They are somewhere in my garage because I ended up removing them. They do add a little Mpgs I found that my Mpgs dropped a little after removing them. They where put there on the Max tows to keep the wind from getting up in the fenders and adding a little more aerodynamics for towing purposes. If I can find them I'll send them to you, they are brand new basically.

They improve aerodynamics but they are also splash guards. If you hit water, mud fast enough you will get a huge spray out the front than can soak your windshield. Fun sometimes on a trail, scarry on a busy road.

If someone has a complete set of the air dams they’re looking to get rid of, I’d be interested in trying them on the Premium Bumper on my Sport S.

Seems that there are only a handful of us that appreciate the looks of these. Interesting to say the least.
I’ll throw my hat in the ring, if you have a set that you don’t want anymore then let me know what it would take to get them to me.
If they will fit properly on a 22 Mojave without the steel bumpers.
Sounds like they may not work with the newer bumper. Can anyone confirm 100%?

I'm not all that keen on the looks, but with fuel prices soaring, if they improve my mileage, screw the looks!

Except I draw the line at a Prius...

The covers with the little air dams definitely only work on the base Sport bumper. So if you want the air dam look you will need to replace the whole front bumper with one from a base sport. It's a totally different bumper. Easy to swap tho and would think someone would give you one. On the base bumper the covers attach with one million screws. On the higher trim bumper it attaches with push type connectors.

Base on the left.

Mojaves and Rubicons have different fender flares. They may not fit.

The difference in mounting holes shouldn't be an issue, but there's an appreciable difference in the ends of the bumpers, isn't there?

Still might be worth an experiment...

Yeah the ends are shaped differently. I bought a Rubican bumper without the covers and thought I'd use the ones from my Sport bumper. Really no way to do it within reason. Now I've gone to the Mopar metal bumper and have too many bumpers laying around! ?

You could duct tape cardboard in that space.

First, thank you for calling it by its real name: Duct tape!
Second, why bother with a piece of cardboard, when the tape'll do?
Third, I think I'll see what Carl @Threedom comes up with!

:)

They are to help with aerodynamics and they don't put them on anymore. As of early last year. Not on US models anyway.
They are “to help” with aerodynamics…..

There. I fixed it for you. :CWL:
