It's always been exposed to the elements the entire 9 years I've owned it. It rode around in the bed of several Ram trucks, on a mount, attached to the outside of a truck box and it did so in the Pacific Northwest.

It now resides in Arizona, has been mounted on a Ram truck and on two Jeeps, and it still works like new. There is a very small amount of surface rust on the support foot but the rest of the jack is rust free.

A little oil now and then on the mechanism and it's good to go.

It don't seem to care about being in the elements.
Certain tools when used are inherently dangerous. If used incorrectly a farm jack falls into this category. I want mine in pristine condition should I unfortunately have to use it. It's never my first option. I really like that rack you have by the way.

Purchased an @813 Fabrication & Design under hood compressor mount. Remounted my ARB single and then added the manifold to it for the new front locker on the Mojave.

Haven’t quite finished yet. I need to pick up some fittings so that I can add my air chuck to the front bumper. And still need to run the air hose and wire the solenoid.

This looks like a quality mount but I never can figure out why you'd want the jack exposed to the elements.

I understand the desire to keep them in proper working order, but they are called Farm Jacks after all.
I’m sure farmers don’t keep them pristine in a waterproof case.
Then again, half the farmers my dad grew up with only had 9 fingers for various reasons?

Well I upgraded the tires on the JLUR from Nitto RGs 35x12.5 r17 to BFG KO2s 37x12.5 r17, so I had to haul the old tires back from my buddies shop this morning.

Rides so much better and more traction in the wet

Now to list the 35s on Marketplace, they only have 25k miles on them

Got the rear JTR springs, 3/4” Daystar spacer and shocks installed today. Had a hell of a time until I unbolted the rear track bar! No more saggy a**. Was 5/8” lower in the rear now it’s 3/4” higher in the rear.

Front JTR springs/shocks and 1.5 inch TF level. Just got the front done, was hoping I could just throw shocks on the rear but I’m gonna either put the JTR springs or a 3/4” spacer in the rear since it’s a tad high in the front. Maybe it will settle. I have had these parts for a year and been procrastinating this project like no other. First time doing any kind of suspension work. Took me around 4-4.5 hours with beer breaks and checking YouTube videos. The biggest pain in the butt was getting the truck jacked up high enough. My steering wheel doesn’t even seem off. But I only took it out for about 20 minutes on farm roads and it’s pretty windy out so time will tell. I shouldn’t have bought deep well impact sockets, would have been easier with normal sockets.

I did the same 1.5 teraflex lift on my JL, it was a project took me a little longer.
