You've never worked a desk job, I take it...........I dont get those foot rest any way.. it dont rest the foot it just holds your toes up. And places pressure on your heal bone.
Of those of you that have standards sow of hands as to how many shift and then leave toes on the pedal after reaching cruising speed ? Or does foot go back on the floor ?
Riding with toes on pedal will actually lead to problems .
So what does this " dead pedal" simulate ? Nothing absolutely% nothing.
Better on the hip joints, ergonomics. Slightly slanted foot rests were requested by almost 100% of the staff that were at a desk most of the time. Feet flat on the floor led to problems.
I suppose you have no problems with seats in airplanes (assuming you don't spring for first class)?
You don't have much choice with a stick, but with my car, there's plenty of room next to the clutch pedal to have my foot rest, not flat but at a slight angle, and I can drive for hours that way. The Jeep is pretty restrictive in that way.
The Grand Cherokee has a slanted foot rest built into the floor..
