Got around to installing new headlights. Been sitting nib for awhile. Took advantage of a nice day to install them. Now to get my bumper and tires swapped out...

Did an oil change. Sending a sample to Blackstone Labs. Want to see how Mobile 1 5w40 diesel truck oil does. This is my second oil change with it.

Completed my forward facing lights set up for now. Started with two 4in Rigid 360 Series Amber Pro Spot lights for the Pillar mounts and two 6in Amber Pro Spot lights for the bumper. For Driving lights I went with the Rigid E Series 10in bar Driving light with Amber Pro cover. I was blown way by how much better I can see at night on dusty gravel dirt roads.

Hmmm … looks good but when there is a pile of snow in the background I’m not sure it can be called a “nice” day. :CWL:???

2024 grille installed. I also took some time and repainted the grill support bars as well because they had some faded spots. It’s a subtle difference on the black, but I like it a lot.

So now the question, how much trimming is needed for the Bolt hood lock?

Based on what angle the picture seems to be taken at, I am betting it is a straight shot to the Bolt lock with no trimming needed. At least I hope so, since I am a fan of the new grill too.

End up in some nasty mud that was more like concrete mix of some sort. This was in a parking lot, it was dark and I figured to park where I knew I could easily get out when all sorts of other vehicles parked in the area while I was in for another MRI. Glad I parked there but it cost me another car wash.
So it got washed again - it was tough getting that gritty muck/mud off.
Nice to also get all that white winter salt off it as well - inside the power steps, etc.

Checked the oil and was rather surprised.
4,000 miles and it's still not low. Still at the top of that recess area in the end of the stick.
A little bit more and I'll draw a sample - this oil has seen some mixed use, so I'll be curious.

Straight shot to insert key, but turning gets stopped on this spot.

Yeah, I was wondering if you'd have to trim that horizontal bar and the one just above it to clear the body of the key fob. If that's all you need to remove, not so bad I guess.

Added some 12mil protective film to the door hinges. Seems I was too late for the rear door hinges. I already have some good sized chips on those hinges. Below is the link from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CHHZGV7K?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
These are clear and I recommend using a small knife or dental pick to apply to keep finger blemishes off the adhesive surface. Cleaned the painted surfaces with 91% alcohol prior to applying the protective film. Be careful, the adhesive is very sticky!

I’ve removed my key from the fob to get to minimum bulk and will grind a rounded area for the key rotation. Hopefully I don’t F it up.
