Quick update. 3” lift installed. Truck loaded with 75L fridge/freezer, my tech diving gear, camping gear, 5lb propane tank, etc etc plus two awnings, 7 gal Road Shower tank and hilift jack. Also tongue weight of my 15’ trailer loaded with stiff for our Maine summer house. Bottom is before and after shots.

With all the heavy gear taken out after arrival in Maine, the JT sits great and the ride is what I wanted. After this pic below I threw in 1200 lbs of potting soil and compost and it barely felt it. The progressive coils doing the job!

We wer elooking at Fins and Things for our trip this October. Not concerned about my gladi, but my buddy has a WK2 Grand Cherokee, 2in lift on 32s. I've heard he should be fine if it's dry?
Should be Ok, there are maybe a handful of spots that might be iffy. With spotters, etc, should be fine.

The 392 that did the backflip was Brian, he's the owner of one of the 4x4 shops near me. I actually might see that Jeep in it's current state as I'm going to the grand opening of the new shop tomorrow.
Best use ive ever seen for a hi lift jack was the one on the back of his keeping it from crushing in on the top. Top was trashed, little hood scrape which I wouldn’t bother with and the tailgate seemed damaged

Fins is fine for that jeep. Theres one little rockface you go down about 3/4 the way through he’ll need to be careful on and depending on recently traffic a massive boulder right after he will either need some
Momentum or a tug from you to get up. I actually struggled with it for a bit because EJS had it covered in rubber and it was cold at midnight

Is Fins and Things doable in a stock Rubicon with no damage?
I did it with a stock '08 Power Wagon with 35's. Broke my steering box on it on the way out.

I wouldn't say a locker is needed, I did it without one.
Didn’t mean to say it was mandatory just speaking to his request about his rubicon although depending on the weather a rear locker sure can make things easier

In preparation of a coastal visit this weekend, I made a stop for the rear window. We take our dog almost everywhere we go, so being able to leave the back window partly opened, but secure would be handy.

Piece of stainless steel from some old shelf, I cut to 6.5 inches. Drop it in the channel and bam. If I like it, I'll probably shrink wrap it so it fits snugger and doesn't rattle.
What I'd really like is a power rear window like our last two pickups.
toyota has it figured out - power rear window in the Tundra, and power slider in the Tacoma. Either one would have been acceptable for the JT!

It's not like Chrysler doesn't know how to do a power slider. The 2015 Ram 2500 we previously had a power rear slider. So did my father inlaws 2015 Ram 1500.
