Gave up for the night. Spent practically all day at my buddy's house for my son to attend a birthday party. Started late on the front end but solid progress for a few hours late at night lol. About 80% done. I have to drill out a hole on each shock mount for the new shock mounts. Install shocks, sway bar end links, track bar, and the big ass dog leg tie rod end. Oh and relocate steering stabilizer.

I hope you installed a turn down. Otherwise everything behind it WILL get cooked. I did this on my Power Wagon. It melted the liner in the e-brake cable on the axle, which was 2ft away. Plus it started to melt the boot on the Bilstein 7100 remote shocks I had on at the time.
I didn’t but I guess I will, there’s nothing really in its path. The sway bar end link is offset to it but other than that it’s a straight shot to openness.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to do that or not. I was concerned about the temp too. So I started the Jeep this morning. It was a little cool and windy so I kept it in the garage with the door closed. Yes, it puts a lot of heat out under the bed! A turn down is necessary. Harvey, the eight foot tall pink rabbit that showed up 20 minutes in, agreed.

:like:
Going down the highway at 70+ mph. How much heat is do you think is coming out of that pipe. Kick it down to pass someone. It really gets hot.

Added a Tacoma bumper step for my diesel. Surprisingly no company offer one for the diesel. Made the bracket with some scrap angle iron and channel strut.

Mud flaps are for fords.
LOL, I put them on last Oct due a road I drive frequently having a stream running down it; just not into mud every day up the sides, and the occasional rock.

That stream has since dried, but I was happy to still have the flaps installed when driving a new trail/dirt road recently. A flock of 200 or so sheep was ahead of us, and heavily used that trail. At least I only had to clean sheep shit off the fender liners, front bumper, and flaps. It sounded just like mud slapping.

I only posted that because shadows and I both aren’t ford fans. Without pretty wide steps, they definitely take shit up the sides. :)
