I hope you installed a turn down. Otherwise everything behind it WILL get cooked. I did this on my Power Wagon. It melted the liner in the e-brake cable on the axle, which was 2ft away. Plus it started to melt the boot on the Bilstein 7100 remote shocks I had on at the time.
Since you made me paranoid I just cut a piece off the stock turn down and added it with a 3/8” self tapper and painted it black. It fit really nice actually.

Greased and installed the rebuilt RCV on passenger side. And installed the hub/unit bearing. Really nice to see lug bolts again. Made me smile.

Edit: I also installed the rebuilt bump stops earlier today.

Dan, I had to LOL when I first saw this picture I thought "How'd he convince his wife to let him do that work in the living room...???"

Old patio indoor/outdoor carpet from years ago. We used fragments from carpeting rooms as well over the years. Usually it lasts 3 years or so with a dedicated, abused garage vacuum. This project however, not so much. As soon as the Jeep backs out it’s going in the can. So many tiny spills of thread locker, grease, oil, brake stuff, etc. it’s done. Next stage will be some kind of cleanable surface.

What did I do to my Gladiator today? Not a d@mn thing! I mean, it's done...

Now what I did do, was get tired of looking at the rear seats that have been taking up space in the garage ever since I did my rear seat delete 4 years ago, so...I cut and laminated some Baltic birch plywood to make a Lincoln Log like base:

and then mounted the rear seats to a the base so that I now have a couch in the wood shop!

i am having great success with home depot behr premium white 1 part epoxy paint sku # 1004314346 and the behr premium wet look sealer sku # 582809. i bought a 20lb bag of colored chips for $99 from amazon. they are made by fabbay. also from amazon was a battery powered seed spreader called the wizz from scotts. also purchased were spiked strap on shoes from qwork. i prepped the 30'x40' work shop concrete floor with my 4000 psi pressure washer spinning a 20" rotating surface cleaner. the driveway, approach to the barn and barn floor are all concrete. there is no asphalt so this combo is used regularly.

I've been thinking about doing similar. Otherwise they are just folded up on a shelf in storage and I'm sure something will find them and make a nest before too long.

XACTLY! I had double bagged mine in those 5 mil contractor bags to minimize infestation. I found myself constantly moving them to get to other things...so I did it more out of frustration than necessity. LOL

Any chance on getting the dimensions, maybe a pic with tape spread out?
I've been thinking about pulling my back seat and this would be slick to make ahead of time.

Yeah, I’ll go pull it apart in the morning and get something put together to post here.

Ive gotta hook mine up. I mounted them last week. Ill do it this weekend. Trucks going in for a regear in the morning and then gotta put those initial miles on it to get it back to them.
Yeah my hold up was the passenger side.......when I inserted the plug I bent 4 of the 10 pins. After probing and doing diagnostics.......i pulled the passenger side board and saw my fuck up. Fixed and everything is good now

Replaced the lower eyelets on the front shocks in order to accommodate the larger springs. Somehow wrenched my back. Dammit. Hurts like a mother. But I love this AGM shock vise jaw set. Fantastic tool.

I don’t typically have back issues. This is stupid. But so am I. Meaning I’ll keep working on the jeep, with ibuprofen.

That longer end won't compress (top out) the shock fully before either the spring fully compresses or bump stop engage will it? Measure your shaft length and bumpstop length and make sure you have more shaft then bump gap. In your case bump gap accounting full hydro compression.

I know. Thanks though. This is the recommended eyelet length for these shocks on springs this size, per SDI. They’re 4.5” rock krawler springs. Also these shocks have an internal hydraulic bump stop at the top, along with a spring for preventing damage at extreme droop. These eyelets are 2” taller than normal. Per shock-sperts like @CrazyCooter, the 1” extra eyelet works well on 3” lifts. I’ll probably be adding at least 1” to my bump pucks, but not because I’m worried about the shocks as much as the now top-mounted drag link.
